A wonderful place to take the family for a few hours. I brought my wife and my son, we all had a great time. The steam train was a blast, lots of local history and interesting information, concession, first shop and much more, I was impressed at the sheer size of the place. They even had a really cool collection of antique machines and vehicles, I bought a family pass as we live local. A must see for anyone interested in the history of the valley or just a relaxing afternoon
Fantastic museum focused on forestry through the ages and many other industries and ways of life in the days of yesteryear. Very cool spot for everyone all ages! Was a bit pricey but I would say worth it!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Such an awesome experience! We came to visit a little too late and didn't give ourselves enough time! There was so much to see and so much more to learn. Best part of this visit was that they are pet friendly! We took our adventure cats and both enjoyed themselves. Exposed them to the train ride and did amazingly well! Definitely a must visit and give yourself tons of time! Thank you!
A nice place to take your kids. My brother and his family have a membership here, which allows you to come a certain number of times a year. Make sure to bring the punch card with you because they don't have an online system to check your membership. There is an indoor/museum like portion that also has some activities for kids to do. It's about 4-5 rooms. They also have a big train inside and some beautiful paintings. Outdoors there's some really old cars and trucks you can look at. They have a little cafeteria that is very reasonably priced. The concessions are limited - hot dogs, popcorn and ice cream really, but good for a little snack or simple lunch. They also have picnic tables outside and you can bring your own food too. They have a train ride around the property that even has a stop half way through to go to the playground and look around. You can ride back on the train, or stay and walk back on your own or catch the next train too. There is a lot to explore. For instance, with my nephew we went to check out one of the trains you could play on, and the pumpkin patch with big sunflowers. We also went into the little houses to see how people lived and worked, as well as the school house and post office. We were there for a couple of hours total, and we didn't even look at everything.
This is a great place to visit. Children will love the train ride and playgrounds.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Love this place! My toddler had a blast. They have games to play outside with the family, a beautiful playground that's well kept and looks pretty new. Wasn't overly expensive and I love that you don't have a time frame of how long you can stay. Perfect place to go spend the day, bring a picnic and let the kids run around.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Fun and educational outing! We had a great time together exploring all the different buildings.
We stopped here as a small fun weekend trip and it was tons of fun! Our ticket ended up being on the wrong day but they still managed to squeeze us in! We went here for the Christmas train ride and it was a lot of fun. They said there was over half a million lights total spread around the track. There was even a part where the train went over the nearby lake and it was a great view of the town. There was lots to do other than go on the train such as multiple campfires, crafts, and concession. We will definitely be going here again!
A place full of various experience programs and attractions, such as forest education programs and heritage education programs. A great place to go with kids. Be sure to take the train too.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Such a fun time! The train ride was great and there's so much information given as you're driving through. The buildings are so unique and all the old artifacts are wonderful to see. You can't go wrong visiting here...from young to old you'll have a great time!!
