Beach Cinema Alehouse

Recently went to see Oppenheimer and Sound of Freedom at BCA. Upon entering the theater, it smelled a little funky. It got worse and worse as the movies went on. The smell was not pleasant. In addition, the theaters also got SUPER HOT. The seats were pretty uncomfortable, as well. The seats, floors, and tables were sticky. Both times, the food and service were fantastic! The servers and food runners were super kind and helpful. Food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. The prices are pretty fair compared to normal movie theaters. Movie screen/sound was great. I enjoyed both movies. I wish that the theaters were cleaner, smelt better, and were a little more up to date. Overall, not the worst experience, but not the best.

We had a great time. If you order food, come early. Once the movie starts they turn off the lights and it's difficult to see your food. Popcorn and soft drinks are always a good choice.

I loved the popcorn here! I have a glass of Merlot every time I come here. They have a bar inside. Seats are comfortable. Handicap parking is always available.

After reading some of the reviews we were a little leery about buying tickets here but I'm so glad we did. Our food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. We had the BBQ chicken pizza and the beach fries which were amazing!. The only small complaint were the seats were a little uncomfortable but that's only because I've gotten spoiled with the recent upgrades at most of the theaters locally. All in all we had a great first experience and will definitely be back!

I visited this movie house on vacation and will definitely go back. We ordered fries and sodas. The fries were huge and crispy. Enjoyed the movie and surroundings. Staff were very cordial and helpful.

Went to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. I liked ordering before sitting down - the food is delivered to your seats! Movie theater was great, floors were super sticky but that is my only negative. Pretty good experience overall.

We planned our whole day around coming to a movie at 4:00 p.m. and ordering dinner while watching the show. When we get to the theater there's a line out the door. It's evident they are completely understaffed. When we got to the front of the line she told us they are not serving food, they are not serving popcorn and the only thing they have available is water.....much like prison. I'm livid that I paid a premium for tickets to enjoy dinner and a movie only to learn that they are not serving anything remotely resembling dinner. We were both really hungry having skipped lunch in anticipation of this fun dinner out. I'm incredibly upset as it has ruined mommy daughter date night. And not even an apology from the lone staff member. I asked to speak with the manager only to be told that she is assisting other customers. This is a mistake I will never make again. Edit: We ended up leaving because my daughter was so hungry. They initially refused to refund my money because I couldn't produce the ticket stub despite having an email confirmation and a credit card receipt having paid. Thankfully I found the ticket stubs in the very bottom of my purse. The lack of customer service at this establishment is absolutely astounding. As a Virginia Beach local, I love supporting a small business. That being said, I will never set foot in this theater again. How they are still in business is beyond me.

Disappointing Cleanliness Standards Rating: 1/5 Review: I recently visited this movie theater, and I must say, I was thoroughly disappointed with the cleanliness or lack thereof. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, it was evident that cleanliness was not a priority. The floors were littered with popcorn, spilled drinks, and other debris. It felt like they hadn't been properly cleaned in ages. I expected a basic level of cleanliness, especially in high-traffic areas like the lobby. To my dismay, the uncleanliness extended into the theater itself. The floors were stained and covered in crumbs, and very sticky giving a clear indication that they hadn't been properly cleaned between screenings. It was a discomforting experience to sit on such dirty seats. It left me wondering about the overall hygiene and sanitation practices of the theater. I understand that managing a movie theater can be challenging, but the lack of cleanliness in this establishment was unacceptable. It's essential for theaters to prioritize hygiene and create a pleasant experience for their patrons. Unfortunately, this theater failed to meet even the most basic cleanliness standards. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and takes immediate steps to improve the cleanliness of the theater. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values a clean and sanitary movie-going experience.

Great little venue! We did the Saturday afternoon matinee. Service from Matt was excellent. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. The feature we selected was Jesus Revolution which did not disappoint. It was great to have an uplifting film without all the profanity, violence and other trappings of most movies. Keep up the good work!

The movie was a bust, but the experience was great. The menu selections were fun and tasty foods and the table service was very nice. Servers were courteous and aware of space constraints. Bartender was very helpful with recommendations and assistance. Great beer selections and a variety of spirits on hand. The manager on duty, Lisa, was professional and efficient while handling a small issue. Her professionalism gives this location 5-stars!
