I am a mobile tech and I work in this park 2 to 3 times a month. It's always been clean, has nice level lots, and a swimming pool. The owner takes care of her property really well.
We had a great 3 week stay at Beacon 44 RV. The owners, Mary Jo and her husband, Doug, were so friendly and stopped by several times to check in. Mary Jo was very helpful when we had to leave early due to a health emergency and even contacted us to find out how we were doing later. The campground was very clean and always being kept up. The sites were roomy and had grass. Their twice weekly dinners were delicious and everyone brought side dishes to compliment the theme. These dinners were a great way to meet other people in the park. People in the park were very friendly and inviting. The beach was about a mile away and in February was practically empty. Cathy’s Restaurant nearby and the Beacon 44 fish market were wonderful ways to sample the fresh seafood in the area. If we are on the Texas coast again, we will definitely return.
Went there on a mini vacation with my daughter, one of my granddaughters and one of my grandsons. Stayed four nights at this campground. Very nice and peaceful. What they charge is GREAT compared to some of the other ones. Mrs. Roberds lives in Port O'connor and has for about 11 or 12 years. She recommended it to us!
This is a nice park. The owners are very friendly and the park is well maintained. We spent a week there and the owners sponsored two events for the residents. The park is very pet friendly with a laid-back atmosphere. Port O'Connor is somewhat remote but if you like to fish this is a great place and Beacon 44 is the best place to stay. We stayed in a motorhome.
This is the place to be if you want to come to P.O.C TO FISH FOR THE WEEKEND Nice friendly place. Mary Joe and Doug are the best! Go online to reserve your spot. 5 Stars!
We were going to only stay a short time but fell in love with the place and ended up staying 6 months. Mary Jo and Doug welcome you in to their park and treats you like family while you are there! They have great amenities and very often do potluck gatherings in the clubhouse. They have a catch and release pond is full of huge catfish. They are one of the only parks at the time who have a swimming pool. There is also a fish cleaning station to clean the fish you catch out in the bay or off shore. We would have stayed with Beacon 44 RV Park longer but we love Port O'Connor so much we ended up buying some property. Mary Jo also has an excellent seafood market on Adams St where you can buy some of the best shrimp caught directly from Doug's shrimp boat.
We love Beacon 44 RV Park in POC . Mary Jo & Doug were extremely accommodating from our first email until the moment we left after our 5 month stay Oct 4 2019 - Feb 28, 2020. Great location, large well maintained sites, nice pool, laundry room, club house where we met so many wonderful RVers enjoyed many nights of card playing/pool and weekly pot luck meals. Thanks Mary Jo & Doug see you in the fall. BOB Vickie
I'm so glad I found this place on internet!! We were there late September 2015 for a quick, yet long weekend getaway from the city life in DFW. The pictures posted on thier website can't truly describe how quaint and beautiful this place really is. The owners are SUPER friendly and keep the place in top shape. MaryJo is a true jewel and is very knowledable about Port O'conner. If she's not busy running to their fresh seafood store where they sell their own fresh shrimp etc. or taking care of business at the RV park, she will gladly tell you all about the local area and the best places to eat. They will be expanding RV sites in the near future which will only enhance this RV Park, allowing more folks to enjoy their etsablishment. We WILL be going back.
Really love this place, looking forward to our stay here! Very friendly owners! Clean, quiet & well kept park! Great amenities, pool, fishing pond & pet friendly.
Very nice, quiet park in Port O'Connor. Very friendly people, the owners are fellow travelers when they can.
