Guy charges $20 for a 4 pack of beerkentucky bourbon ale, $13.27 in NY. Entire store is disheveled and in disrepair, don't know what's up with the ripped carpet glued out on the sidewalk. Not to mention, he'd rather chat with his friends, rather than give a little courtesy to his paying customers, just tells an amount to a person and holds his hand out for cash. McDonalds gives better customer service than this place.
Very personable owner. I always make it a point to stop in and say hello everytime we visit. Prices are comparable to anywhere else in Gatlinburg. Owner is very helpful and respectful.
Convenient spot to stock up on drinks and snacks while staying in Gatlinburg
Nice grocery store. You can find anything you need when in vacation in Gatlinburg. The staff is very helpful. We recommend it.
My boyfriend and I popped into the general store to grab some Advil for a headache, but we walked around and shopped a little while there. The cashier was blaring Indian music and largely ignored us while there. There weren’t any price tags on the merchandise we were interested in and when we asked for a price on the items, the guy said “twenty dollars.” For every item. The cup? $20. The black bear salt and pepper shakers? $20. The coffee mug? You guessed it. $20. Everything was super dusty too. Wouldn’t recommend unless you are hurting for some Advil.
God forbid you dont have change not as much as some closer places but there is a church on the other side of the road super close for only $5 vs $8
Sad that all the parking in the area was 20 bucks. Luckily this place was only half the rip off...
Do not go here! New Owners have turned it into a typical tourist dump. The new owners are so shady or just lazy they have left the grill signs up advertising food from the grill and havnt had the grill open for months and have removed all their tables to eat at and replaced with cheap t-shirts. This is a place to avoid at all cost in hopes someone will buy it and bring back the good food and friendly American staff that use to be here.
We discovered they serve a quick and decent breakfast in a hurry didn’t want to wait foe pancake house crowd was hosting an event needed to eat before customers arrive. Very convenient and quick and good food. We also ordered hamburgers for a group and everyone was very pleased!
Pricing is rediculous. I guess you're paying for convenience... a couple drinks and I'm out over $18. Guy working counter was nice enough but not for a 100% markup over a typical gas station.
