Beard & Harris opened in Tyler in 2007 as a joint venture between Ty Beard and Don Harris, two attorneys that had known each other and become friends in law school. They had been working together off and on on cases since they graduated from Southern Methodist University of Law in 1996, but formalized the partnership once Don left the mortgage company he'd been working for.
They originally had no plans to grow the practice, but after meeting Craig Daugherty and Kristina Ross in 2013, they decided that a small law firm could have its advantages. The "small law firm" expanded in early 2015 with the addition of our Dallas office and attorney Jim Bullock, and expanded again in 2015/2016 when attorneys Susan Colley, Kimberly Martin, and Carey Christie joined the Tyler office and Cindy Karm joined the Dallas office. Today, Beard & Harris is one of the largest firms in Tyler; each of our attorneys has their own specialties and talents, and we are always ready to help solve our clients' issues.
