Took my child to Dr. Miller for a pediatrician check-up, not knowing he was only a PCM & he was HIGHLY aggressive with my child. He did not try to make her feel comfortable before the exam like every other doctor I’ve taken to in the past. Other doctors would talk cheerfully to my child & try to have a conversation & make her feel comfortable before an exam. My child was iffy when he got close to her so she started whining doing what NORMAL toddlers do & saying “no” because he didn’t even try to acknowledge her or be nice to her. This old doctor literally grabs my child’s face aggressively sticking tools in her ears, nose looking at her eyes, starts to hold down her arms & legs telling her to stop hitting/kicking him, he tells her “I’m going to make your parents leave the room & hold you down until the exam is over if you don’t stop” and I froze, I have NEVER experienced such a horrible doctor in my entire life. Also, when we asked advice for other things he disregarded what we said & went on to what he was saying trying to be right instead of listening. Zero stars for him, I can’t believe what I witnessed & my child was traumatized afterwards & she loves going to the doctor so thanks to him for ruining that. Every other staff member was nice & accommodating. This guy should not be a doctor at all. Warning to any other parents, do NOT bring your child to him & definitely be cautious. I can’t speak for other doctors in the hospital but he is awful.
I was born here in July of 1969. My dad was fighting in Vietnam and my mom said they took great care of us. I don’t remember anything except mom said I was screaming while Neil Armstrong was walking on the moon. I had colic real bad to everyone’s dismay that night lol
Even after retiring from the Marine Corps I continue to receive outstanding medical care here.
I gave birth to my daughter at this hospital 51 years ago when my husband was stationed at the base in Beaufort, South Carolina. I haven't been back but I am sure it is still the beautiful place I remember. I had the best care I have ever had in any hospital. In those days when you gave birth they kept you for a week and the food was amazing. On the day the mothers leave to go home the husbands get to have lunch with their wives and they served us filet mignon and it was delicious. 5 stars
Given the current circumstances with COVID, the Clinic has been as accommodating as possible. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Ron Marcelle, who serves as the historian, was very informative about the history of the facility as well as giving a tour. This place is basked in history.
The VA services offered via the clinic are wonderful. The office staff is friendly and accommodating, they provide answers and get you checked in. By all my observations they get to know the patients and their needs. The medical staff are friendly and welcoming , the doctors answer all my questions and always put my mind at ease. You can't beat the distance; much easier to be seen at this facility then do the drive to Savannah or Charleston. It would be a great benefit if they could expand their services because they are wonderful at the ones they currently offer. Thank you to all those serving this facility.
Went to the Extended Care Clinic last week. They did an outstanding job? Did a follow up appointment today, again an outstanding job. My doctor recommended that I get a flu shot, so I went down to immunizations to get a flu shot, only to be told they were closed for the day it was 1530 and they close to begin Extended Care Clinic hours and would open back up at 0730. They push for you to get a flu shot, but I'm retired and still working, so for those of us who work, those hours are unacceptable. The Extended Care Clinic can't give out flu shots? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me...
I'm usually not someone who will write reviews, but in 16 years of active duty service, this is by far the worst experience. Brought our 1 year old infant to be seen and waited for over 3 hours, and we ended up leaving "urgent" care because we were told we would have to keep waiting. No patient care, no patient responsibility, and nothing was accomplished. Don't waste your time.
Pharmacy service was horrible. Waited 30 mins and there was only 3 of us in waiting room. Was called up and I guess checked in after 30 mins and told to sit and wait again. Service here use to be great. What happened?
Horrible service. As we waited, the workers walked around socializing about their plans after work and what they were making for dinner. We waited for 2 hours when there was only 2 people in front of us. Highly disrespectful staff and after telling one nurse what was wrong we were sent back to the waiting room. Then, we went to the back again to tell another nurse the same thing. Then, had to wait another hour in the back. The room I was put in even had stains on it. When I told the nurse, they laughed. Won't be back.
