I called a local gastroenterologist who didn’t see patients younger than 16, we were referred here and after describing my son’s symptoms that have been going on for 10 days now, we couldn’t get an appointment until after the new year. I asked where I could go for an exam and testing to see what’s wrong and they said that’s what the emergency room is for.
Even if Dr Gebara is a good doctor, his practice does not have the motivation to help accommodate his patients. My child has seen him in the past and thankfully has been healthy for the last 3 years. She is now having issues and Dr Gebara’s practice will not book us for 3 months as we are “new patients”. We are being penalized for not taking precious appointments away from sick children who need his time. After waiting 10 weeks and finally getting an appointment, I needed to postpone till after 3 pm due to the amount of missed school and high school test situation with my daughter. No exceptions. “New patients” can only have a 1 pm or 2 pm time slot. 3 pm or later is not possible. Who wants a doctor practice if the practice doesn’t want to help your family’s needs? Why aren’t all sick children a timely priority?
Extremely thorough, great bedside manner, superb doctor.
