High Quality performance here. Beautiful costumes and staging. It is a great presentation of Beauty and the Beast told through the iconic songs from the movie and Broadway show. Talented dancers. The entire cast really put on a very enjoyable show. It is a covered but open air theater.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 min
This was a great performance. We enjoyed how they took the story and did an amazing performance of retelling in under 30 minutes. Costumes and characters were lively and brought the fairytale to life.
I really recommend watching this when it's really hot. It'll really help you cool down or rest. There was shade, many seats, and the show was really good. They portrayed the movie as almost the same. The cast was really good too. It was diverse and there were no mistakes. Though they did skip some parts to make the show short. They skipped the part where the father gets 'kidnapped' etc. If your kids don't like kissing scenes, this will be OK cuz there are no kissing scenes.
Beautiful! This show was top-notch! The costumes, the dancing, the singing, the acting! All on point! The only thing I'd add would be a quick scene to how Belle arrived at the house of the Beast. Other than that, it was great! I watched it twice. Loved it!
Review: "A Tale as Old as Time: Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage" at Disney's Hollywood Studios Nestled in the heart of Disney's Hollywood Studios, *Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage* is an enchanting spectacle, capturing the wonder of the beloved Disney animated classic. Housed in the impressive Theater of the Stars, accommodating up to 1,500 spectators, this Broadway-caliber musical offers a fresh yet nostalgic retelling of the timeless tale. From the outset, audiences are swept away by iconic melodies like "Belle," "Gaston," "Be Our Guest," and the poignant "Beauty and the Beast." The show is clocking in at a brisk 25 minutes, and it masterfully distills the essence of the film, ensuring every second captivates. Visually, it's a feast for the eyes. From intricately designed costumes to the detailed, immersive scenery, you're transported straight into Belle's charming village and the grandeur of the Beast's castle. The cast's remarkable talent and boundless energy ensure the narrative feels authentic and refreshing. The performance truly resonates with all ages, from the young to the young-at-heart. While the show is a highlight for families, it is worth noting that certain scenes might be a tad intense for those with very young children. Given the multiple showings throughout the day and the first-come, first-served seating arrangement, early arrival is recommended to secure the best vantage point. Yet, even magical experiences can have their slight hiccups. While the stage performance was flawless, the ushering experience presented a few challenges. Jesse or Jessica was proficient in English and had an assertive approach to seating. Plus, a couple of the ushering staff, unfortunately, lacked the proficiency in English to address the queries of international guests seamlessly. **Recommendations for Training Disney's Ushering and Public-facing Stage Staff:** Disney's renowned magic hinges on every interaction. For key events like *Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage*, it's crucial that ushering and public-facing stage staff receive specialized training in communication, cultural sensitivity, and multilingual skills. Periodic evaluations can ensure these vital touchpoints always reflect Disney's commitment to exceptional guest experiences. A notable advantage is that the show experience comes inclusive with the park admission, ensuring no additional planning or expenditure is needed to indulge in this tale as old as time. In conclusion, *Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage* at Disney's Hollywood Studios offers an unparalleled immersion into a beloved narrative. Even with minor off-stage hiccups, the magic onstage is potent and unmissable, making it a must-see for all park visitors.
All the dancers, actors and actresses are very good. Their performances are brilliant! We watched twice with our three young kids, aged 2, 5, and 7. Gaston is played by a different person for the first time and the second time. Gaston 2 is better, more enthusiastic! But the entire show was so good because of good team work! There are several scenes and basically within 30 mins, the entire cartoon is summarized, even including the part where Belle sings out how she wants to have adventures, which is relatively ignored by many other retelling takes!
A very wonderful experience as a big fan of the story this shortened play was a great dramatic summary of the cartoon. If you have any respect for the old Disney shows at all you will go see this one, and for God's sake clap!
Beautiful and moving show each time we see it!
It was great my granddaughter loved it, and it gave us time to get off our feet and relax a bit.
Great show, I haven't seen it in years! I like that the amphitheater is covered with fans to keep the heat off and help with the acoustics of the show. Great time!
