I made a 2:45 appointment for my ill 84 year old mother. Somehow the appointment was never put into the computer, so they squeezed her in. She was not taken into the exam room until 3:45, and would NOT allow my sister-in-lawcaretaker to accompany her! Aside from the fact that she is weak and unsteady walking, her memory of the medical details of her two recent hospitalizations are definitely not clear. When this was explained to the doctor, he stated he was treating the patient…not the family member! So he would knowingly take a medical history from a patient with memory issues?? My mother did not leave the office until after 5 pm. Find a different nephrologist!
Our experience with Dr. Bell has been nothing but positive. My mother has been seeing Dr. Bell since July 2009 after renal failure. It’s been journey to hell and back and Dr. Bell has been with us through it all. Now, she is doing much better and I mainly credit Dr. Bell with her recovery. Through all these years Dr. Bell has been very supportive, honest, professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. My mother is not proficient in English and Dr. Bell always showed her kindness and patience in that regard as well. I trust him completely with my mother’s care and well being. We were very fortunate that we met Dr. Bell. I am eternally grateful to him for saving my mother’s life and giving her back the quality of life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Although Dr Bell is thorough him and his staff can be very rude. I made an appointment arrived at the office but nothing was scheduled in the computer. I rescheduled then ran late 10 minutes. He refused to see me. If you want a thorough caring doctor and office staff that will schedule appointments and address you like an adult human being this is NOT the office.
I never thought to write a review for Dr. Bell until I looked to see if he had covid info today and saw a negative review. I have been seeing him for 30 years since I was 20 I can not say enough about the care he has given me over the years. Yes there were times I had to wait and also times I was the patient that caused a back up. That is because he gives everyone the attention they need. I have also sat in the waiting room full with people that obviously cross paths during dialysis and he came out and sat for a minute and talked to all of them as a group with so much caring and a little humor too. There was a visit 25 years ago after having my son that he discussed Kidney transplant with me. Under his care I have held my ground on my Kidney disease and could not be happier that he has my health in his interest. Oh by the way I am white and no one in the office has ever treated me badly.
THIS DOCTOR IS A RACIST!!! He made me wait over an hour and a half for my 930 am appointment, while he met with two people who had appointment times after me. I had to leave, and when I mentioned to the receptionist about this, she refused to talk to me. The doctor came up to me and told me to get out. As I walked out the nurse called me a "crazy white boy." I am filing a formal complaint against this doctor. DO NOT GO TO SEE HIM.
I have to give credit where credit is due.. Dr. Bell is a thorough doctor and pays attention to detail. I went to Dr. Bell for a second opinion because I felt unsatisfied with my pcp looking into a problem I had. With the information that was already in my medical records, Dr. Bell was able to provide alot more details than my Pcp did. You can't teach compassion in medical school.. nor communication you can to a certain extent. Dr. Bell is a doctor who WANTS to provide information to you without making you worry about it. I appreciate his thoroughness and would highly recommend him.
Sorry to say u try to give black business ur money and they act just like society say they do, I would not recommend this place, their communication skill are horrible!!! Then when u get frustrated they act like u the problem. They don't care about their patients, u have been warned.
he is a wonderful doctor.
