Hi. We are Ed and Dawn Bell. We own and manage a small hand crafted jewelry business called Bell Custom Jewelry. We live in the foothills of the Burro Mountains near Silver City, New Mexico. We are avid rock-hounds and starting up a business making handmade quality jewelry one piece at a time made sense to us.
Ed handcrafts his own cabochons using rocks from all over the world to incorporate into their jewelry, making each piece a unique and one-of-a-kind original. He also enjoys utilizing stones they have personally collected. Using the cabochons he has cut and polished and sterling silver, Ed creates beautiful one-of-a-kind pendants, bracelets and rings.
Dawn works primarily with sterling silver, gold fill and copper wire, which she weaves into chains called Viking knit also known as trichinopoly chain. This ancient art form goes back to the 9th & 10th centuries, and possibly even earlier. These chains are used for necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Dawn also wire wraps Ed's cabochons.
