We're a family friendly campground located in South Central Illinois. Most people stop and see us for an overnight but you can always stay longer!
With its extra-long pull thru sites, a book exchange at the campground store and on-site boat rental reservations, a stay at this KOA is all about convenience. The campground, with both shady and open grassy areas, unfolds 2 miles south of 19,000-acre Rend Lake. Fishing and bird-watching are popular—and so is claiming a spot of sandy beach for a siesta! At the lake’s Army Corps of Engineers Visitor Center, kids love to check out the wetlands, working beehive and snake exhibits. Pitch horseshoes, shoot baskets and swim in the big pool at the KOA. Head for Shawnee National Forest, where hiking trails wind along the sculpted sandstone bluffs at the Garden of the Gods. Anglers can test their fishing skills at the catch-and-release fish pond. Plan day trips to local wineries or the outlet mall. With its extra-long pull thru sites, a book exchange at the campground store and on-site boat rental reservations, a stay at this KOA is all about convenience.
