Bernard Museum is home to eight buildings and more than 40,000 artifacts. The museum's holdings date from prehistoric times to the 1930's and 40's.
Started in the 1960's, the Bernard Historical Society & Museum survives today because of local volunteers and the charitable contributions of the community at large. We are Barry County's largest repository of historical artifacts and family histories.
We are open from June 1 to September 30th. Currently, our hours are June and September: Sundays 1-5 p.m. July & August: Saturday & Sundays 1-5 p.m., but are subject to change depending on availability of volunteer staffing.
We are always looking for volunteers. Contact us if you are interested!
The Bernard Historical Society & Museum is a private, non-profit, 501c3, corporation, administered by a board of directors elected by the Society's membership annually. For more information about our organization please feel free to send us an email.
