Berry Springs Lodge Bed & Breakfast

About

Tucked away in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, near Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville Tennessee

Description

Berry Springs Lodge is a relaxing Smoky Mountain bed and breakfast resort retreat intended for guests that are looking for a quiet romantic getaway in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Have you ever heard " home is where the heart is", we think they should have added cool mountain breezes, beautiful sunrises over majestic peaks and people who are friendly and neighborly.

On March 15, 1999, we hiked to where the Lodge sits today and looked at the splendid view. We both knew, at that moment, that our dream was about to come true. We worked for the next eight months designing the lodge.

On November 1, 1999 we broke ground. Patrick’s father spent four weeks cutting in the road, leveling the ridge and excavating the basement. This was truly an exciting time to actually see construction.

December brought cool, rainy weather so we rushed to pour the foundation and the slab. On January 4th, 2000 the framing started and we were able to complete the Lodge on July 4, 2000. We worked seven days a week for seven months.

Love love this place!!The place is relaxing, the people are so nice and the view is phenomenal! The breakfasts are also very delicious. They have activities in the Lodge tht you can do such as mountain biking yes, you can borrow their bike for free!, Ping pong etc. Cannot stop recommending this placeRooms: 5/5
My husband and I came here for our honeymoon. We stayed in the blackberry springs suite and it was delightful! The views were spectacular. The breakfasts every morning were so good, absolutely no complaints. The dessert was also amazing! Our favorite was either the peach cobbler or the cinnamon cake. We can’t wait to come back and reminisce those sweet memories.
I loved everything about this place. It's beautiful, quiet, and off the beaten path. From check in to check out, it was wonderful. We did the walking path down to the barn and pond, had a beautiful room and a delicious breakfast. Within minutes of check-in, we tried to extend our stay, but they were fully booked. we would absolutely stay there again.
We had the most wonderful time at Berry Springs Lodge! We stayed 3 nights in the Newberry Springs room and everything was just wonderful. The staff were so kind, the setting was beautiful and breakfast was delicious! We also loved the activities available down at the barn corn hole, basketball, ping pong, fishing, the extensive dvd library and the nightly dessert. It felt like summer camp for adults. It was a great way to end our two-week road trip from Kansas City. Our only regret is not having one more night/day to explore the hiking trails. We’ll have to come back.
The location was good, room was clean and the porch view was nice. Those are the positives. Breakfast we had once out of the 4 days we were there, and we left a day early and it was very disappointing. They have one item on the menu each morning, this time omelette I asked if they could make just eggs and bacon, to which they said they have no bacon? A bed and breakfast but you don’t have bacon? I really hoped their breakfast would have been better, or at least be able to make some eggs and bacon. It is very limited in terms of breakfast. In terms of service: all employees leave at 8PM, and tell you to lock up the main door if you leave or come back. First time we had do something like this. The man at the front desk would put his head down when you walk by, not very friendly or welcoming. Expensive place for the lack of hospitality and breakfast that is provided.
A beautiful spot in the Smokey Mountains, quiet, peaceful, gorgeous views. We stayed in the Honeysuckle Springs Room which was beautiful & comfortable. Our views from the hot tub were amazing! Breakfasts & evening treats were delicious. The staff was always helpful even during the power outage which we experienced during our stay. Would highly recommend Berry Springs!!
A beautiful home-style setting with all of the perks of a motel but without the crowds! That is Berry Springs. You just about can't get better service! Every staff member is there to make your stay the best it can possibly be. The main floor is perfect for mobility challenged people. There is always something in the dining room to snack on- food, coffee, tea... The setting is rural East Tennessee, no noisy traffic. There are hiking trails on sight. It's a mountain getaway that deserves 5 stars all around! It is 5 minutes from Dollywood. 15 minutes from Gatlinburg.
Excellent lodge experience close to the Great Smokey Mountains. Very quiet and relaxing. We also got to see the Dollywood fireworks from our room balcony. Good breakfast and accommodating to dietary preferences.Rooms: 5/5
We can't say enough good about Berry Springs Lodge! What a lovely setting in which to offer such fine hospitality. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer. Thanks so much for providing such wonderful accommodations!Rooms: 5/5
I have been to Berry Springs 5-6 times. This is my 1st time back since under new ownership. I'm pretty disappointed with how some things have changed. We check into our room, and guests now no longer can control the air or heat in their own room. Our room was unbearably hot. We opened the window and slept with the window open. By the time the morning came, we were freezing. They also now charge for most snacks in the kitchen. All of those items used to be free. As much as we pay for the stay there, the snacks should be included, like they used to. They also don't participate in the donation program they used to do. Which is also disappointing. I love Berry Springs, but after our experience under the new ownership, we may be looking elsewhere. I miss Patrick and the interaction he and his wife would take to get to know you. You don't get that atmosphere anymore.
