Bet Am is the perfect blend of inclusion and tradition. It is completely egalitarian, and welcoming to all, regardless of background or family composition. We especially appreciate that families, even with little kids, are always welcome; it makes the space more joyous for everyone!
An amazing and heimisch place. All are welcome and accepted in this loving community. Congregants are an engaged, intellectually curious, and generous group. Countless opportunities to get involved, from contributing to services, tikkun olam, gardening, helping put together art shows in the synagogue gallery, working at our renowned crafts fair… all with a friendly, down-to-earth group of people. Top-notch religious school as well, plus ongoing adult education. You must experience Bet Am to appreciate how different this place is from all other synagogues in the area.
This place is a mockery to TRUE Judaism. The Torah, HaShem's perfect word does not need to be reconstructed, reformulated, or rearranged! He says in His Bible to make any changes, is a sin! In addition the rabbi here seems to talk the talk, but not walk the walk. Would give NO stars if possible.!!
Bet Am Shalom was a fabulous place to host our wedding. Their coordinator, Danielle, was kind and organized and endlessly positive. The space itself is gorgeous, with many indoor and outdoor options, loads of natural light and windows, light wood, and high ceilings. If your wedding will involve many pieces shmorg, tisches, bakdeken, ceremony, yichud, reception there is plenty of space - and then some! The shul is also conveniently located for public transit. I can’t recommend it enough!!
Call for gorgeous lighting decor.
If you are looking for a progressive, joyful congregation that supports our Jewish journeys and values community connections, Bet Am Shalom is waiting for you.
