Enjoyed every play we seen! Every one there was amazing! My kids loved every minute of it! Would most definitely recommend!
Been involved here since I was 3 years old. Beautiful community space for accessible performing and visual arts. The folks who teach classes here have a real passion for helping everyday ppl grow their skill and love for art. I've done community theatre here, dance classes, Chicago Children's Choir, and known people who have learned everything from instruments to clay-sculpting here. Support spaces like this, as a professional artist and storyteller now I can say that the Beverly Arts Center was a massive aid in my journey and that community arts centers should exist in every neighborhood. They feature shows of accessible professional theatre, local bands/musicians, dance companies, movies, and educational seminars on a variety of topics. Just show up and see whats on the board, I'm sure there will be something you could be interested in.
Lovely performance space. The seating area is a bit small, but it creates an intimate atmosphere.
Attended a wine and dessert paring. It was informative and very tasty. It will be a monthly event. ENJOYED to the fullest.
Went to see a matinee preformance of the. Musical, "Next to Normal". This institution does a great job of bringing cultural offerings to the south side.
I attended the Black History program last night. Art Norman of NBC was the Master of Ceremony. It was wonderful to see the community represented, especially the children, in the program. The musical performances were great.
Amazing!!Excellent Dream Girls Performance. Awesome customer service. It was an amazing night to be out with my best friend after a year of being a Pandemic. This was my first time, but it will not be m y lasts. I will pass it on to my family and friends. Truly amazing !!
I attended CMAC Delta Chapter's event Jokes for Coats. Great event supporting kids staying warm throughout the winter. Now as for the Beverly Center please turn on some lights it was super dark in the parking lot and walking in. The seats in the auditorium so uncomfortable so those 2 little things could make the place great
If it had not been for the pandemic, rhis would have been our third year here. Brought my 5 yr old for piano group lessons and he is currently taking piano 1. He has lived the two teachers he has had and everyone is nice and willing to help. I wish there were more of these academies in Chicago, wouldn't have to drive here to bring my kids. I will be enrolling my 4 year old in a music class of his own and adding a drawing class to the kid taking piano. It is very cheap, you cannot beat the prices. We take our eldest for guitar lessons, he has been playing for 6 years so he is pretty good but we pay a lot more in the West Loop than at Beverly. I highly recommend it to everyone!
We watched Suessical. There were no microphones and we couldn't hear most of the show. Also the poor kids had to wear masks so we couldn't hear most of the dialog. The kids were adorable but the way it was presented was super disappointing.
