What a charming redo of the train station. My parents would take the train out here in the 40’s with friends and it remains vibrant 81 years later. The diverse collection of art is impressive and incorporates the beauty of the nature surrounding the gallery. Worth a stop. Website is terrific if you’re looking for novel gifts and art.
The Depot is a hidden gem. You can learn the history of Beverly Shores- how houses were barged across from the 1933 World’s Fair- and see a monthly exhibit of local artists, many of whom exhibit in Chicago and across the nation. There’s also a sweet gift shop with affordable artisan treasure to bring home. Stop on your way between Chicago and Michigan- this place is a great find!
Appealing seasonal gallery and museum featuring the work of local and regional artists as well as displays on local history all contained in the wonderful historic Beverly Shores train station.
