Highly recommended. My sister and I came here to arrange for my mother’s cremation and Alex was compassionate and considerate throughout the whole process. He even guided us through some of the religious practices that my mother had requested but we were unfamiliar with. The price he quoted us was the price we paid, no surprises or additional costs. He was a gem from beginning to end and made a difficult time a little easier.
Great service, great to be in the hands of Alex and his team trusting him to take care of the planning in the saddest of the events. Great place for funeral events, will professionally organize and plan for you, making it easier to go through the sad day. Prices are fair and very competitive, especially for the great experience provided. Highly recommend !!!

I do not post reviews very often, however, Alex and the Big Apple Funeral Service team were so exceptional that I feel compelled to share my thoughts. From the onset, Alex and the team were respectful, thoughtful, trustworthy and efficient....As my family and I were coming from out of town, Alex went above and beyond by meeting me at the airport with my sister's ashes. I am truly grateful and would very highly recommend Alex and Big Apple Funeral to anyone requiring their services.
I would highly recommend working with Alex and the team at Big Apple Funeral Service! During the hardest time in my family's life with having a loved on leave us - a call to this team here made it all the better. We decided to cremate our Grama and didn't know where to start. A call with Alex was an education all on it's own! He walked us through every step and process and even made suggestions on things that we didn't expect. Honesty, integrity, and respect is what we were shown and I just can't say thank you enough! I would recommend this experience to anyone that needs this kind of support during a difficult time!
Alex helped my sister and I plan cremation arrangements for my mother, Katherine O. He is a person with compassion and empathy. He is honest, respectful, and professional and takes his time to explain the arrangements in which you may be seeking. The Funeral home is clean and decent, and we felt super comfortable. If I could give this place 100 stars, I would! I live in South Carolina and two weeks ago, I learned that my father passed away unexpectedly. I called a few funeral homes in NYC to price cremation services and after speaking with Alex, I knew that I didn’t need to look any further. From the beginning, he treated me like I was a close friend or family member. He made everything extremely easy and I was able to handle almost everything over the phone or by email while I was traveling to NY. As a former hospice nurse, I have dealt with many funeral homes/funeral directors and I can confidently say that when it comes to funeral service providers, Alex is truly one in a million and you’d be hard pressed to find another like him.
Our family can not Thank Alex enough. We are from out of state and called around and we chose to use Big Apple. Alex was professional and caring explained everything and was genuine from start to finish. This is a very difficult time especially for my husband. Alex allowed my husband the time he needed with is father. He showed sincere compassion. We would HIGHLY recommend Alex amd Big Apple to anyone in need of funeral/cremation services. From the moment i first reached out to Alex there was compassion from him by just simply saying he's sorry for my loss. My mother passed away on Christmas due to Covid and needed to act fast with the hospital holding the body for only 7 days. I met with Alex & he made everything as smooth as it could be. The pricing for service i paid for was very reasonable & i had my mother's remains in about a week or so. When everything was done i needed a last minute change to the paperwork that Alex handled in a very short time. If there were any concerns or anything i was unsure he always responded promptly. I can't recommend Big Apple Funeral Services enough. Thanks again Alex for helping our family get through that tough time. God Bless.
