I love discovering hidden places that I would have never seen just in driving by. This was my first visit to Big Daddy Ross's Cafe during brunch. It's surrounded by what appears to be old and some abandoned boats and buildings. No clearly identified parking markers, but plenty of space to park near the entry. Cozy seating area and built on extension for additional patrons. The staff immediately greeted us when we arrived and were very friendly throughout our meal. I ordered a standard breakfast: ham, eggs, and french toast. It was good! They also have a to-go option, which I will consider if seating is unavailable.
I’ve driven by a couple times for the scenery, then I finally stopped for lunch. It’s always so relaxing being by the water and the parked boats of just about any small harbor. Food here was excellent and the service was great! I have never thought to add tomato and avocado to a grilled cheese sandwich. Now after eating it here, I will definitely do it at home. I don’t think mine will be as good as Big Daddy Ross’—they use sourdough for the grilled cheese and it is DA BOMB!!! Bathrooms are clean. Wheel chair accessible. Nice ambiance. Friendly staff and excellent customer service with a smile. If you choose to give a thumbs-up or not, I hope you found my review helpful!
First of all all staff was amazing! Shortly after we ordered the power went out turns out that is a normal occurrence for the whole marina. They still made us an amazing breakfast. I highly recommend the crab omelette
I was in the Baypoint neighborhood and it was around noon I want to eat a brunch use Google map to find this place and it really was not far from the freeway The restaurant was in the marina there and had some really great views of the water and the boat in the marina the servers are very friendly I was surprised about the large clientele they had being in such a cool Out-of-the-way place my wife has a veggie omelette and I had a steak sandwich which is very good I really like the place patio is really nice Other than being a little windy that day
Fantastic place: friendly service, great coffee I got the country fried Steak it was awesome.
Delicious, flavor and portion are adequate. Really good service... recommended Food: 5/5
This is a solid diner. We were seated quickly and the waitress was great with getting out drinks and taking orders and stuff. The menu had a lot of options and I'm thinking breakfast is definitely their specialty. My wife had the Biscuits & Gravy, she liked it. The kiddo had a Banana Nutella Pancake and had good things to say as well. My dad had an omelet and he seemed to enjoy it as well. I had the double bacon Cheeseburger and it was fine. It came with fries and they were good as well. I think they may be understaffed as most places are right now, and because of that, there was a couple small issues with service, so I knocked a star. The issues were about timing, My wife got her food a good 5-7 minutes before the rest of us, and then the next dish to come out was actually just a side of toast. Then it was another couple minutes and the rest of the food came out. It wasn't a huge deal and I expect it was a staffing issue, so hopefully we'll head back again and everything will be perfect, then I'll bump up to 5 stars.
Love driving up here on a Saturday morning to get breakfast. There is always a great breeze on a hot day. The vibe of the area is a nice little dinner on the water by the marina. Food is good and service is great. They were open to making accommodations for dietary needs! Can get busy with a wait, but the surrounding area is beautiful. Three peoples breakfast cost $30
They are very kind! The wait isn't long. Hefty portions and affordable.
I ordered a chorizo omelete and iced coffee. The omelet looked like dog food and tasted gross. The ice coffee was so so. The service was not very good. The wait time to get food was ridiculous for what I got. Also, the price was too expensive for the quality of food I received.
