I wanted to give this place a good review because I was in such a good mood, first time in point Roberts down from Canada, but they sure make it hard. The lady that took my order was nice enough and I gave her a tip I hope she got the tip cuz no one else deserves it. They brought me out my sandwich before my cappuccino, I asked if my clam chowder was on the way and they said it was. The sandwich was supposed to be on a croissant and apparently they ran out of croissants and didn't tell or ask me what type of bread I wanted. After waiting for 15 more minutes I went in and asked for my clam chowder, It looks like the cooks were pretty stressed because she didn't look too happy about it. Finally brought me out my soup, of course with the bowl covered in soup, he didn't say I'm sorry or anything and I said "does this usually happen" he just said no and gave me a dirty look and I had to ask him for a spoon which he gave to me without even looking at me. I thought people were exaggerating when they talked about the service being bad here, but wow. I worked as a cook for 12 years so I've been on both sides and I'm pretty understanding but that is something else. Also don't leave your food unattended outside I came back and a crow took the top of my sandwich...
Awesome Panini Club! It's so good to see a good restaurant in Point Roberts open. If you haven't been here this is a worthwhile stop. Nice patio. Staff super friendly.Recommended dishes
Super cool and out of the way, a block from the beach you’ll find the quaint little gem. As soon as you walk in. You feel like this is the cool spot I’ve been looking for. Everything about the place is decorated perfectly. For what it is. It feels like your mom is cooking. There’s cocktails, wine, coffee, and everything else you would expect. I had this BLT sandwich. On focaccia bread normally focaccia bread sandwiches suck. But this one. Let me tell you was delicious. The bread was moist. It wasn’t too crispy. it didn’t crumble all over you. it was fresh. Really fresh. Next time you’re in point Roberts. Stop for lunch here. It’s worth it.
We visited this cute cafe while we were in Point Robert’s for a family reunion. There were 9 of us and they graciously took our huge order! Food was delivered quickly and it was all delicious with large portions! As well, their drinks were amazing. Highly recommend the Bloody Caesar. The atmosphere was very unique and the staff were lovely. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again.
Cute little cafe with excellent food! We had a grilled cheese sandwich and clam chowder soup. The sandwich had sautéed onion and mushrooms in it and tasted so good. It was flavoured perfectly. The soup was very tasty, too. We also had coffee and a cookie and they were excellent. We saw other people having other stuff and they all looked good. Would love to come back next time in town!
This amazing Cafe is truly a gem, very cozy and full of seasonal surprises! Was having a winter wonderland treat during my latest visit. Featured here is the Chicken pot pie and Tomato basil soup with Mocha. If you are ever in the Point Roberts area it is a must. Very friendly service. Kid-friendliness: very friendly and great environment Parking: very assessable
This cafe is an absolute gem! The staff are kind, personable and quick. The menu is well thought out and the food is unreal. Its such a lovely little spot to grab lunch or breakfast, with a good cocktail or coffee. We had our whole family on their patio surrounded by beautiful rosemary bushes and sunshine. I am most definitely returning as soon as we visit point roberts again!
Visited Point Roberts for the first time this Easter weekend and stopped by this quaint little cafe for brunch. Since the recent border reopening, they were understandably busy yet shortstaffed. They were also the only restaurant open at the time. The owner was also having some issues with the circuit breaker to add to her frustration. The lady helping out at the counter was very nice though. You get a menu by the counter and order from there. They gave us a heads up that food might take longer to arrive and were apologetic about it. I wanted the mushroom panini but had to settle for avocado toast since I was informed the former would take longer to prepare. Our food didn't take that long to be honest and when it arrived, everything was really flavorful! We had the baked florentine, tomato and avocado benedict, club sandwich, PB&J, and avocado toast! Might have to come back again for their mushroom panini.
Stopped for lunch and really enjoyed the soup and sandwiches. Would recommend it if you're looking for a quieter spot.Food: 5/5
I so badly want to give this place a great review. The food is excellent but the service and the owner… I assume because of the owners nasty attitude to her staff she has high turnover and so it’s why her staff doesn’t know the menu. Every time we pop in ordering is such a big deal for this woman, if ordering a sandwich from the menu without any subs is such a big deal why does she run a restaurant? If she is so stressed out maybe learn to train your staff to do some of these jobs vs acting so put out. So much potential just needs an attitude adjustment.
