Centennial Lodge

Rickie’s event at Centennial Lodge today felt like ‘chicken soup to the soul’. Yes an overused cliché, however when we feel comforted, loved and surrounded by like minded people with a common goal of understanding, we feel complete, nourished. The deep soul connection felt at this event went beyond everyone’s expectations.

This is a negative star for me, if I could I wouldn’t even rate it 0. Humanity is a thing and clearly for supervisor “Lorrie” it is not. I called her in regards to a cancellation 4 days before the event because a family member passed away. She was utterly rude, tone of voice was disgusting. I couldn’t believe the way she spoke to me. I even told her your speaking to an individual who lost a family member. She simply did not care. She kept speaking over me. I had to tell her can you let me finish first. She said that there is no way the person in the front desk told me that for emergencies reasons that the event could be cancelled other then Covid breakdown. Hold on, so you prioritize a breakdown over a family members death or you think it isn’t classified as an emergency. Is a company happy to keep a families money who is suffering and for them not being able to make it because they lost a loved one? How does this even make sense. I could go on about her. She was disrespectful, no remorse, the worse supervisor and definitely not a good human being if she treated me like that. So trust me save yourself the hassle and you don’t rent this place out at all. All they care about is their business and money. Not accommodating at all.

Great wood dance floor that is not varnished like so many floors. Beautiful atmosphere, nice view into the park.

Large and bright with big windows. The views over the park were beautiful. A happy place to start a new life

Had a wedding using the rose garden and a reception using the lodge. Rose garden was great! Very nice place - only a handful of chairs but a beautiful venue for up to about 120 people. Lodge was also very nice and our contact was very helpful. However, we technically didn't have access to the balcony which was very weird and, as this was in the summer, it was very hot inside! If you plan something here for the summer, grab a couple of large fans / rent a couple of air conditioners to help with the heat. We used 2 large fans for air flow and an additional air conditioner. Lastly, a little cramped for space we had 93 people, a band, and a bar so... take this with a grain of salt! so make sure you plan a seating plan very well if you'd like to have a dance floor.

Staff is rude, disrespectful, impolite, ill-mannered. Called to inquire for a booking and the receptionist spoke very rudely. Will not recommend booking them. Save your time.
