Very disappointed I needed a picture frame, 8 by 10 & they had only one left but it had a big gouge on the side so I had to leave it.
I know inflation is out of control, affecting retail prices everywhere. But prices here, no longer reflect a big box discount store, not just this location, I've been to CT and other locations in the past year.
The staff here is very friendly. The store is laid out very well, and it's easy to find things. The have a lot of interesting things you don't find at other stores, as well as things you can find elsewhere, but the prices are better.
They offer discount prices on every day items, furniture and household goods.
It was incredibly refreshing to visit this store. All the staff said hello, asked if I needed anything, and were very wonderful. You don't find that very often in stores anymore these days
Found what I wanted. Got to use discount coupon. Clerk super friendly and helpful with the member program info. Clerk remembered me from an earlier visit, which is unusual for thus type of store. Click "like" if helpful.
Done with big lots. I went in for a few bags of discount Halloween candy none of which rang up correctly. I went back in and spent way too much time waiting for them to figure out a simple return and repurchase and they actually wanted to argue that 2 of the bags of candy weren't half price! This was late in the afternoon so I guess they were charging full price all day. Check your receipts!
Management is Not friendly! Boxes of Christmas decor was completely destroyed, she said there was nothing wrong with them! I'll go elsewhere to buy!!
I called Big Lots to see if they had a particular item. Long story short, I ended up on hold and bounced around between 2 people. One of those people was friendly, professional, and helpful. The other was not and purposely hung up on me, even though I was actually cordial. The next day, I went in to make my purchase. While there, I ran into the store manager. While we were talking he's super friendly, that phone situation came up. He listened to me and said he would make sure it was taken care of. He was going to pass on the compliment I had for the one woman and deal with the other one's unprofessional behavior. Five stars, because I felt that all but the one person I dealt with, were great. Friendly and professional. They had what I needed and even pointed out a sale connected to that item.
