Historically Big Springs was the traditional lands of the Ktunaxa (pronounced: Tun-uh-ha) Tobacco Plains Indian Band. It was and continues to be a culturally significant area for the Kootenai people. Big Springs Campground is run by the Kootenai (Ktunaxa) Tobacco Plains Indian Band. Big Springs offers a hard to find/rare combination on lake Koocanusca; NATURAL sand AND Forest.
With 50 tenting and RV sites available, you are sure to find a campsite that will meet your needs. We offer day, overnight, weekly and seasonal camping.
