Big Springs Park
"Big Springs Park is a beautiful mountain park with several tree shaded areas and large open grass areas. There are several mountain trails that can be accessed from different areas of the park or you can take advantage of the Big Spring Hollow river that runs through the middle of the park."

We come here at least once or twice a year with a bunch of friends and family. It’s absolutely beautiful coming up in the evening when the weather is nice and cool. Perfect place to have a nice barbecue or some burgers and play some ball games with the kids. Many parking spots available. Restrooms are not the best smelling, but they are better than nothing when you have to go. Haha
One of our favorite places to have a family picnic and hike. There is plenty of shade and green grass , picnic tables , a nearby creek and incredible Mountain views . Recently hiked the trial behind the park and it was so beautiful . Meadow after meadow running alongside the springs /creek
Today I went trail-running up the canyon on the packed snow. When I got high enough where the snow got softer, I put on my snowshoes and kept going. On this day, you coukd easily go up 2 to 3 miles without snowshoes. With the sunshine and blue skies, it was great to be out.
nice hike with beautiful scenery. my wife and I found a ton of wild raspberry on the trail. would recommend!
Such a thrill to discover Big Springs Park in Provo Canyon while exploring winter in Utah last February. Definitely worth a visit!
This is one of the most beautiful trails in the provo canyon area! The big Springs loop is a 3.8 mile loop with beautiful views and lots of trees. A beautiful stream runs through the area, with great places to stop and relax. Great year round for hiking, sledding, and nature walks. Trail is well defined, great for families or solo hikes. Connects to a longer 11 mile hike up to the peak above it for the more adventurous.
The starting point for many great mountain bike rides and hikes. Absolutely beautiful any time of the year. Besides the trail, there are several grassy areas and picnic shelters, and a huge paved parking lot that any car can reach.
A hidden gem. Beautiful Mountain View’s, stream access, great lawn area that is well maintained by Provo City, and awesome Pavilions. Can be reserved by residents of Provo with 8 hours notice.
there are camp sites and picnic areas, no bathroom that I can see at least, over is very cute and get sooo much snow
This is a fun park. The drive up South fork is scenic, although it can get a bit cramped in the winter if trucks don't share the road well. The city plows the road up to the park in the winter, which makes it a great starting point for snow shoeing and cross country skiing outings. In the summer, the trails are open for hiking, running, biking, and horseback riding. The trail from big springs continues up to the saddle of Cascade, and offers access to Cascade, shingle Mill, and Provo peak mountains. The trail is popular, and can get a bit crowded, especially for the first two miles.
