South Fork Park in Utah offers a tranquil retreat amidst nature's beauty. The lush greenery, picturesque trails, and babbling streams create a soothing ambiance. The park's well-maintained facilities and clean amenities enhance the overall experience. The only drawback is the limited parking availability, especially during peak hours. Nevertheless, the friendly staff and captivating scenery make up for it. Whether you're seeking a peaceful stroll or a family picnic, South Fork Park is a delightful destination that's worth exploring.
We went in this park on early April. It was covered with 3 feet of snow. This is a remote and peaceful place, less than 10 min from Provo. The road to go there is beautiful and there is a nice stream easily accessible. I would highly recommend this place to play in the snow with young kids.
Love this place. Creek, lots of trees for hammocks, picnic tables, fire pits, a couple of pavilions, grassy field to play in, clean & well kept. Great place to spend the day.
I love this place! The front is beautifully manicured lawn with rolling hills, and just beyond that, is a beautiful stream with trails and little areas to picnic in. You can grill your meals, string your hammocks between the trees, play in the water, hike, etc. It's beautiful, but I hear there are mountain lions. I love taking pictures here, but the photos never do it justice.
Great park with a ton of grassy area and a small, slow stream for the kids to play in. Gets pretty packed on the weekend so go early to snag a spot.
We went on the 4th of July. Went early and got a spot next to the creek in the shade. Nice calm and peaceful. Then . . . The people came. Families spread out under the shade of the trees, each one with their own flavor of music playing. Loudly. Eventually the competing music got to be too much wish I could have brought my Drowning Pool to join in the fun and we left. As soon as we started pulling up our tables and chairs, another family took over our spot. Super nice place, but a bit overcrowded.
I know it would be difficult to arrange given the narrow roads getting you to this area but I wish the parking lot was a little bigger... Along with the aforementioned roads but again, I know it would be difficult. Other than those constrictive areas, the shade, river and open space are pretty awesome for all events, people and bringing your dogs
Great area to hang out! The River is great especially when it’s hot the water is super cold. Park has many things to offer definitely recommend visiting here.
We've done family pictures here and it really is such a pretty park. There's a portion of the water kids can play in and lots of grass.
This is my favorite park for kids in Salt Lake Valley/Utah Valley, hands down. The river level is low enough for kids to play in and there are tons of trails to explore, all are flat. Fantastic park.
