First time here and it is wonderful. Yes, I was on the first stage for awhile. But they took care of me. I used to donate back in the day and it was scary and wired. It has improved so much. Everyone is extremely friendly starting with the receptionist Malinda, the physical nurse and the floor staff Taylor and more. I love that they educated well during the entire process. It is freezing in here. So don't forget your blanket and a good book or phone charger. Looking forward to my next visit.
It was my first time donating plasma and the staff made me feel comfortable. Make sure to bring a blanket because it gets pretty cold sitting there. 5 Stars to all the staff. Thanks again.
The wait is ridiculous. My appointment was at 9:05. It took over 2 hours to be able to actually donate. Didn't leave until 12:30. Again today it took an hour and half to just be able to go to a station . Today it took 2 1/2 hours. All the concerns and complaints goes to the deaf ears. Eventually I will get tired of these long lines and quit giving plasma. On the other hand I like their staffs.
New donor and only been able to donate twice, can’t get appointments on the app. 14 days ahead it’s always full and won’t let me schedule past that, will miss out on new donor bonus because of this. Otherwise staff was friendly the two times I donated , clean and easy process.
It’s s well kept place and for the most part staff is good but it’s almost damn near impossible to schedule donations. This place is always booked out for at least 2 weeks. Sadly I had to go to other places with less people and more appointments
**Final update near the bottom** You can't even get an appointment here. I've been coming here for over two years, but I think it's time to find another center. Every time I try to schedule a donation, it says no slots are available, but when you go in, only half the beds are being used. Prices are through the roof for gas and everything else and they keep lowering the pay. It's gone from $120/wk to $100/wk and they never seem to send coupons anymore. It's just a hassle and hardly worth the time anymore. **Update** It hasn't improved. They've either chased away or canned half of their staff. Only 24 of 48 beds are being used and it's been this way for months. The staff that's left is clearly burned out and overwhelmed. They're doing the best they can with what they're given to work with. It takes an average of 2.5 to 3 hours to get through here, which really stinks when you rush from a 10-12 hour work day to make your appointment on time. They offer $50 coupons if decide to come back rather than wait, but it's a ripoff compared to the full pay you'd make just waiting. To add insult to injury, they've lowered the pay again by $40/mo and I haven't received any bonus coupons in many months. They raised it for a while but now it's trending back down. I know they like to call it "donating plasma", but let's be real; we're selling our TIME and our plasma. The pharmaceuticals can afford better compensation for this. **Update** 2/15/23 They've lowered the pay again. Now it's $110 per week. $80/mo less now for all the same hassles mentioned above. The pay was $130 per week just over a month ago. They even send out emails like they're proud of the lower pay. This will be my last update here as I will no longer "donate" plasma at BioLife. They haven't improved on a single thing and the fact that they keep lowering the pay tells me they're not interested in improving.
Place is clean, and staff is friendly. However, this location is severely understaffed. I’m writing this review waiting to get started on the machine, and I’ve already been here for over an hour. Appointments are hard to get, so it would be nice if they could handle the amount of donors that they let in. I feel bad for the staff having to run around trying to keep up. Plan on your appointment taking longer than expected!
Would give another star if staffed properly, 2 stations out of 5 being utilized for pre-screening donors. An appointment slot time does not mean you are getting your pre donation screening at that time. They have no organized way of making sure that they are calling up donors according to their appointment time. People standing in line for over an hour when arriving on time for their appointments. Either reduce the current donor appointments available or get properly staffed to handle the amount of donors that are coming to your facility.
Horrible experience lazy front desk lady friendly but lazy, waited 2 hrs for an exam so I can donate my appointment was 230 at 4 pm found out other doners were waiting from 145 still and before, realized I wasn’t gonna be seen and couldn’t donate wasted my time and got told sorry it’s how it goes. Unacceptable do not recommend Upon reviewing comments I see I was definitely treated pourly and without care of my time as there is a promotion I was unaware of and literally was feeling like it was purposely. Wow shame trying to help and make alittle extra money turns into such a greedy experience from a company!
I have donated plasma and was compensated well, at a different plasma center, and with the full amount stated at the beginning of the donating, biolife is NOT one to go to unless you can donate on their schedule and they will not pay you the full amount stated for ‘new donors’. I decided to go with BioLife because it’s closer to my house and to help out with some extra money during the holidays and with some additional expenses that have come up in my life, and they did not pay the amount they said they would for new donors. They also adhere to archaic and outdated ‘regulations’ by the fda so now I can’t donate for 4 months because I got my ear pierced. I went to a reputable business that used a brand new, sterile needle for my piercing, I was up front and honest about it and am now being punished and denied the financial help me and my family need, by not being able to donate just ‘in case’ there may have been cross contamination, from a brand new, sterile needle. The staff was always very nice, but I would look at different plasma places that will give you what they say they will.
