The Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec has over 35,000 members and 6,500 candidates for the practice of the profession. The Order ensures the protection of the public and the visibility of the profession. It represents all areas of expertise of the accounting profession—assurance, financial accounting, management and management accounting, finance and taxation—at the service of enterprises, organizations and the general public.
The CPA Order was created in May 2012 following the unification of the accounting profession in Quebec. It results from a merger of the Ordre des comptables agréés (CA), the Ordre des comptables généraux accrédités (CGA) and the Ordre des comptables en management accrédités (CMA).

BUAS' mission is to insure visibility for the CPA Order within the university and to establish ties with students by organizing different activities about the new CPA designation.The Committee's main goals are to inform students about the CPA designation, to favor a sense of belonging with the profession, and to make the Order aware of students' needs and wants.
