Ambience and Cost: Nice ambience with ample sitting. Cost is above average but worth the ambience and overall experience. Food: Food overall was good. Rempah Calamari was super, Roti prata tasted greatpeanut sauce was out of world. Sauce on black pepper prawn was unique in tatste and we loved it. Indian mee goreng noodles were average, a bit liquidy. Has nice wine and cocktails selection with full bar. Service: Service was spot on. They were on time in bringing food, moving from one course to another was smooth. Quick to clean table and replace plates. One of server voluteered to take our pics :
Same owners as Banans Leaf in Milpitas. How quality and flavorful dishes. We loved the Blacken Seabass. I also really like their milk tea. Very creamy and STRONG tea taste, unlike the watered down version served in many of the popular milk tea stores.
Near downtown Menlo Park. There is free and paid parking behind the restaurant. Large selection of gluten free options and they have a separate gluten free menu. Food was tasty and well presented. Recommend you try the pineapple fried rice. Waiter was knowledgeable and attentive.
Came here with a friend on a Monday night with a reservation but it wasn’t that busy at 5:45 pm! Food: We got the roti prata, the black pepper chicken, and the chicken with boiled egg and anchovy! I liked how flakey the roti was and the sauce was nice! A good starter dish. I also liked the pepper chicken and see why they used the same name for the restaurant. The eggplant perfectly balances the savory chicken and the sauce. Service: The waiters were attentive and checked in on us a lot! Ambiance: This place has good table sizes and is a good place for a date or a more formal dinner! Overall, was a good experience and enjoyed the food though I feel the prices didn’t match the portion sizes.
Very welcoming proprietor, nice place, very solid food but not mind-blowing. Malaysian fusion cuisine, I was told by the host. Tom soup was a bit plain. Roti flatbread was paper thin and great to eat my entree with, the shortrib. Quite delicious sauce, maybe a little over cooked. I would return.
We went for dinner on a weekday. No wait time. It has good seating and ambience and would be a great place for both office team lunches and dates. We ordered Singaporean black pepper chicken and Asam halibut along with coconut rice. All of the dishes including rice were very good.
Food was mediocre. Beef rangdang just tasted like stew. Was too heavy and needed a little acid to add depth and dimension. The noodle dish was not pad Thai but tasted just like it. If these dishes were $15 each then they are probably worth it but not at this high price point. Server was hard to understand and a little unclear in communication. The ambiance is great though. Super classy. Wouldn't come back because food didn't match the price tag.
This place is new!! Food was extremely flavorful and portions were good. Thanks to the manager for the dessert! There's a small parking lot behind the building if you can't find parking. will definitely come back!!
Definitely get the chicken satay skewer appetizer. It was so good. Along with the roti paratha appetizer. Pad thai was pretty whatever, it was weirdly orange? Didn't taste bad but nothing amazing. The two appetizers I specified are definitely the best part. Also get the fresh coconut water, and don't forget to eat the coconut meat inside!
The roti was solid, paper thin and not oily. Got the Singaporean chili shrimp which was quite the crack I recall it being while in Singapore, hopefully come back with more people next time and grab he crab! The black pepper sirloin was solid, but a bit salty for my tastes. Ambiance was great.
