Blain is a very nice neighborhood park. As are.all parks in Visalia, Blain is well kept. The grass is green and mowed, the playground is clean, and the playground equipment is well maintained and kid friendly. Our 2 grandkids had a lot of fun and wanted to stay and play for a good amount of time.
Nice park to eat a meal with beautiful view, few transient activity and great place to people watch, if there long enough you will witness a few drug deals. Or strange behavior
We booked this park for my son 1st birthday. It's in July so I new it would be hot. I prepared for the heat with outdoor Acs and fans. Thus is my first grandson so I went all out. I planned this party pretty much since he was born. So you will understand my anger when I get to the next part. Fast forward to the day of. I loaded up a you haul and headed to the park. That day was gonna be 111 degrees. Hella hot!! I get to the park and the first thing I do is plug in the AC. It didn't work. I walked around to the other arbors and no electricity. A park ranger came and said the electricity is turned on but not working. It was a Sunday so I couldn't get a hold of the city and there was nothing I the ranger could do. I had to cancel the party. My daughter was heart broken. And to top it off they would not refund the fees we paid. I understand things happen out of their control but we should have been refunded. I am not only out the park fees but hundreds that I spent in planning. Don't book this park especially if you will need electricity
Great park, beautifully green and lots of space-but bathrooms are a little iffy... As for the homeless, they're in their vehicles and/or way off the the south of the park keeping to themselves... Not an issue in my eyes. But if you still have issues with them, have no fear, the "HOPE" team will eventually run through and harass and impound, and take their stuff and/or arrest them pushing them further and further into poverty and depression rather than do what their name stands for-and you won't have to deal with it... Yay for you...Psssh. ** I've been at 2 of the parks the day they come out Thursdays and witnessed their way of dealing with they homeless and honestly it's pretty damn pathetic. the officers are so unbelievably insincere and cruel and disrespectful. And I mean DISRESPECTFUL. They in no way live up to their name that's for sure.
You know... there have been complaints of homeless hanging out. We saw them. They mind their own business. The real disappointment were the moms with kids who allowed their kids to leave empty drink containers and people who dont pick up their dog poop.. Overall the park is well kept and it's quiet.
Very difficult to have your children here when you have drug attic’s,homeless and people drinking, smoking and doing drugs. the city won’t do anything about it. I even called them they said that they are allowed to be here. As a make this post right now, there is a person pooping in a bucket in between their vehicles with a little fire in the parking lot right now.
great place to take the kids; the playground is great. there is a loop to walk around the park. there are also wheelchair accessible workout equipment, a field to play baseball or other sports, and it has hills leading down to the field, which kids love to roll down. there's also covered picnic areas and it has bathrooms which is always a necessity with kids.
this is a beautiful park and very nice during the day there has been homeless camped here in the past. I've found paraphernalia in the grass and parking lot
Alot of homeless there now bit I still feel safe there. And I have lots of memories there
Nice park clean friendly family environment
