We were just passing through and saw this amazing park. We stopped by for a picnic near the water spouting spot. A beautiful setup, very spacious and available tables to sit and eat on. Plenty of space for multiple sports. Space for soccer, football, baseball and softball. Either way plenty of space to get your recreational needs.
Very nice park, but too many homeless people have made it there home. There are straight up camps with tents, like camping tents and easy ups. People in vans just camping. Target carts everywhere. It's sad since it's such a new development. Playground: Keep your kids safe from all the homeless camping here.
For porterville's first sports park, not bad.... But if you want to see and experience and awesomely designed and real sports park? Go check out the one in Visalia CA 30 minutes away. They even have a water feature section for the kids that will make any adult want to just go play in it too....
Nice place to watch a soccer game, kids have a playground, lots of trees for shade. Restrooms open for public, tennis courts, barbecue pits, basketball courts, good park to rest or sleep for a while.
Splash pad was refreshing but needs a little TLC
Love the environment and lots of play area for kids.. but lot's of homeless people that some of them have respect and others don't care if there kids around.

This is a park with several baseball playing fields and other areas to be utilized by families. Restrooms are strategically placed around the baseball diamonds. Lots parking areas and parking spaces are available throughout Sports Park.
We were just there on Friday, June 2nd, "23, water was on and kids had a blast. Thinking going again, shortly. So, as of that date above, it was open. See ya there! Restrooms: What you'd expect
I love this park. It just needs a few more trees for shade around the playground equipment.
