My recent visit to Tacos ell Papi was an absolute delight from start to finish! Not only did I have the pleasure of devouring their incredible Torta Del Papi, but I was also captivated by the wonderful ambience and the incredibly friendly service. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The vibrant decor and Mexican-inspired aesthetics created a lively and authentic setting that immediately transported me to the heart of Mexico. The restaurant's attention to detail in crafting a cozy ambience added to the overall dining experience. The service at Tacos el Papi was beyond exceptional. The staff members were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also incredibly friendly and attentive. They made sure that I felt welcomed and comfortable throughout my visit. Their genuine smiles and eagerness to assist further enhanced my dining experience. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the Torta Del Papi! This colossal creation was an absolute masterpiece. Packed with a medley of flavors and an abundance of delectable ingredients, it was a true gastronomic adventure. The combination of egg, avocado, sausage, shredded beef, chicken, and more was a culinary symphony that left me craving for more. What I truly appreciated about Tacos el Papi was the authenticity in their preparations. The flavors were rich, genuine, and reminiscent of traditional Mexican cuisine. Every bite was a delightful journey through the vibrant and robust tastes that make Mexican food so beloved worldwide. As I wrapped up my Torta Del Papi experience, I couldn't help but feel excited about exploring the other offerings on their menu. The mention of a bakery within the restaurant only heightened my anticipation. I can't wait to return and indulge in the tantalizing treats that await me. In conclusion, Tacos el Papi is a culinary gem that offers not only extraordinary food but also a fantastic ambience and genuinely friendly service. Looking for Authentic Mexican Tacos? This is the place! So many choices. It's a hole in the wall and you may have to wait due to limited seating, But it's worth it. They know what they're doing. The food is great. Canned sodas, cold beer and homemade stuff to drink as well. And did I mention desserts? These are displayed in a large glass case that I stared at for quite a while and got enough to bring home. This little place is a well kept secret and it shouldn't be. Amazing!!! Kid-friendliness: They don't mind kids, it's a family-friendly place. You can take the whole family. Parking: If you go there during prime times it's not easy to find parking. But, it moves pretty good and well worth it. Good tacos, food and cold beer are not that easy to find nowadays. I went late, after 9:30pm and there were folks waiting outside.
These Mini Tacos have great flavor and the mini handmade tortillas are excellent. I’m just no likely to go back. You may be lucky to get 2 ounces of meat in these tacos. 2 ounces is the same amount you get in the Togo Sauce containers and they’re priced at 2.75 per taco. There’s plenty of other places where you can get the same quality and expect a bit more meat with the 2 tortillas they try to fill you up with. The Campechanos tacos are just 2 meat tacos for $4 with barely 2oz of meat again. Not worth repeating when there’s other great options nearby.
The most delicious, authentic tacos I’ve had. Don’t knock this place out.Food: 5/5
This was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. We threw everything in the garbage : We ordered steak enchiladas and chicken enchiladas. They gave us tortillas topped with sauce and a whole slab of steak thrown over the top. The chicken ones were the same. We used to order here all the time but the food has steadily declined and we will not be back.
Great tacos, Authentic flavor. Open late Friday & Saturdays. Must try it if your in Oakland ParkFood: 5/5
First time visit. This restaurant was excellent. Reminds me of many of the shopping center Mexican restaurants in the LA area. Very simple ingredients but maximum flavor. Guacamole is made to order but was a little salty for my taste. Chips are house made and delicious. They also have many Mexican sodas and housemade horchata. Would love to come back.
Absolutely delicious. It hasn't been easy to find a place that actually has amazing tacos so I am very happy I found this place. I tried the cabesas, lengua and al pastor tacos. The flavors are fantastic. Can't wait until the next time so I can try something else. You should definitely eat here!!!
Excellent restaurant. Local Latin food with a really cool flair. It’s made like it is native to the country. I highly recommend it. Don’t expect sugared up tortillas or sweet breads, the tortillas are actually very bland and have the real taste of corn. They have a variety of different sauces. I chose the mild green sauce which was profoundly good. I can’t say enough great things about this little store and restaurant. The bakery is astounding as well with tons of homemade treats including tres leches!!
The food is always consistently amazing. My personal favorite is the Torta Michoacana. The hot sauce are perfectly made. The bread and desserts are delicious and comforting. Pan dulce and the tres leche are my go to. I look forward to eating here over and over again.
