I can't attest to the drinks, but their food is awesome. I've eaten there four times over the past week and the only thing I wasn't completely satisfied with were the buffalo wings. Too mild! Burger cooked exactly as I asked, awesome fried pickles on the side. On the first night I was just starting to consider commenting on the wait until she brought me chicken alfredo with actual, freshly made sauce when I was just expecting the cheap jarred stuff. And considering it's a bar attached to a hotel the prices are pretty good.
The deck and outdoor bar have a fun atmosphere. It's definitely good for a hangout. Check your food though. My wife order a well done burger and it was pink the whole way through and cold in the center. I recommend using meat thermometers.
Like every other place that’s been here, it’s not great. The restaurant itself is understaffed and the food is overpriced for the quality. Our group of 5 had to send three orders back because they came out wrong multiple times. Server forgot side dishes multiple times, and didn’t bother to check the table until well after food was delivered. The bathrooms upstairs are disgusting. More than half the doors in the women’s room don’t even have locks. The ones that do lock, most toilets don’t function. The soap dispensers don’t have soap, and the paper towels are always out. Not to mention, the main doors to both bathrooms are wide open at all times. The bar side is ok, a super mixed crowd. Prices aren’t bad and bartenders are fine. Bouncers are rude and ignore some extremely intoxicated people to bully others. We’ve given this place more than one shot, but no more.
Food is okay at best. Nice atmosphere and the bar trivia is fun Thursday night. They are in major need of a menu redo. If you go stick with burgers, it's hard to mess up burgers. Last time we went the entire waitress staff walked out for some reason, causing hour waits since the bar tender had to serve everyone.
Some of us play volleyball out back of the outdoor area, and the staff are always very polite and courteous of is being back there. They take good care of the sand and make sure the area is clean if we're down there, and they don't have a problem if we bring water to stay hydrated while we play. Plus there's nowhere else that you can really drink and play at the same time lol. Casual games are way more fun here :
Very rude overzealous security personnel!! Old guy with ear piece definitely had a chip on his shoulder and thought he was running a SWAT operation. Staring at people is now a crime and you will be thrown out of “his” establishment. They allow people to smoke on their deck which is fine until they open the garage doors and let all the smoke rush inside while people are trying to enjoy a show! American Posse great band hope they reunite in another establishment at some point so I can enjoy listening to them and not having to leave because they throw my friends out for “staring”!
IF you manage to get a waitress to serve you, because they are woefully under staffed. you will have to ask for utensils, napkins, and plan on waiting FOREVER to get a drink... I'm talking about IF you can get the bartenders attention, they will probably forget about you and serve 20 others before you, until you have a fit. Forgot one of our dinners, as well. Awful service... just awful.
I'm never one to complain, but tonight was such an inconvenience. My friend & I walked into Blarney's on a Friday night. We sat down at the bar around 7:45, just before the band was even set up & ordered drinks. The bartender outside was kind enough to grab a chair for my friend to sit on & menus from the inside because we wanted to order food as well. Apparently you have to order the food inside & wait for it to come out, they can't bring it out to you because the bars are separate. Understandable. So we both went inside & ordered our food. Took about 15 minutes, not bad. We paid our dinner tab & tried walking out into Blarney's to eat. The very rude man who I'm assuming was part of security said that we weren't allowed to eat out there because they were closed, even though we literally had just ordered drinks at the bar prior to us ordering food inside.. made no sense whatsoever. So, we went back inside & the bartender inside was wondering why we came back & we told her what happened, & she seemed appalled by the fact he wouldn't let us in. So she asked the security guard to let us sit out there & eat. But when we tried to go back out & eat, the same guy stopped us & wanted to charge us a $5 cover charge. Seriously?! First of all, we were never told that we had to pay a cover charge when we got there in the first place. Second, all we wanted to do was sit & eat at the bar that our drink tab was at. I mean, I guess we could have eaten & had our drinks inside, but at that point I was so unhappy that I didn't even want to order anything else. After we ate & drank our drinks, I walked back into Blarney's right past the security guard, paid my tab & left. I am very disappointed with the way the security guard treated us tonight. But at least the food was good & the staff EXCEPT for the security guard.. obviously were friendly..
Liked the theme/feel of the place. But plastic cups and lack variety of drink selection presented. Good place to how out and have fun and shoot the... you know with driends, but don't expect class.
Went to Blarney's for the first time on a Friday night. The weather was nice so we wanted to sit outside. The guy charged us a $5 cover to sit on a basically empty deck. Three bartenders stood in the outside bar and no servers came to talk to us. After 5 minutes, I had to go ask the bartender if food would be served, and he said you order inside and then can bring your food out. We went inside. Approximately 15 people inside with one bartender. The bartender was either new or just very laid back because it took far too long to get served, and unfortunately did not know basic drinks. She was not handling her customers in an efficient manner at all-it looked like closing tabs and ordering food/drinks was a painfully long ordeal. A guy came in from the outside and politely waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged, and another 10 minutes for his food order to be entered. Eventually a manager came out to help the bartender get things moving, thank goodness!! and he said he'd make sure the food went to the deck for this poor guy. Which brings me to the fact that no one seemed to know where any of the food was supposed to go when it came out from the kitchen. My boyfriend and I had wanted to sit outside, but knew it would cause confusion if we went out there after ordering our food, which is not the way a restaurant should work. Very inefficient system. Chicken sandwiches were dry. Pretzel and beer cheese was good. No good selection of beers, which I had not anticipated for an Irish pub. No Irish food either. Overall, would not suggest to anyone and will not be returning.
