My tax preparer was thorough and allowed me to sit with her so I could explain certain aspects of my itemizations that aren't clearly interpreted by someone from outside my business.
In past years, I've been very happy with my service, but this time was different. We went to the office on March 16th, and were told that, due to the pandemic, we'd have to leave our information, and that the tax advisor would get back to us within two weeks. After a month and a half, we had still heard nothing. I tried to contact the office, and the receptionist took my name and number... and nothing. I tried again the next day, with the same result. On the third day, when I became more insistent, they at last let me talk with the tax advisor, who finally took care of our tax return. The deadline was then less than two weeks away. I'm sorry, but there's really no good excuse for not getting back to us for a month and a half, for something that should have taken only a few minutes.
Paula Crismond is very thorough and detailed, and a joy. I enjoy working with her. The office is clean and bright. The staff is nice. I've been going to her for 3 years now and I trust Block Advisors to provide me great service and to do my taxes right.
Horrific...on the phone now with the Illinois CPA Society and Lawyer. Paula Crismond tells me over the phone that in error she shreded our tax file after spending an hour going over it. Said she would file an extension and did not. Completely unprofessional and scam artists....the lawyers will be dealing with them...they messed with the wrong professionals...no professional ethics...escalated to corporate H&R Block as well. Never have seen this..and in the north shore ...all a bunch of con artists.
This was my first time going to Block Advisors in Wilmette and I am beyond happy! My friend originally recommended that I use Jacque Fonorow and I can see why. She is without question, the Best of the Best! Jacque was caring, enjoyable to work with, professional, thorough, and so knowledgeable as she explained every detail of my return. It was amazing! She wasn't in a hurry and really made me feel like I was her only client! I highly recommend her and will be recommending her to all my friends! See you next year!
Office is close to my house and I feel welcome there. The process is efficient and my questions are always answered to my satisfaction. This year I had a different tax advisor for my appointment. I was just as pleased with the service as in prior years.
Steven Solar has done an amazing job year after year for business or personal !! If you call ask for HIM it’s like having an independent CPA at a fraction of the cost !
Even with the challenging circumstances around my taxes this year, Jacqueline explained step by step the mechanics reasons behind it, and helped me put a plan in motion to pay it off, as well as begun a plan for future years.
