My partner and I had a really nice stay at Blue Lantern. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. Their kitchen staff put out a great breakfast each morning. Our room was spacious with a perfect view of the ocean. Thanks for a really nice stay!Rooms: 5/5
Our stay at the Blue Lantern Inn was wonderful! Every staff member was so kind and went above and beyond to provide for our needs. My husband and I stayed with our 7 month old and they were so welcoming, providing a pack n play and blankets for her to crawl on. The breakfast and wine and cheese hour were delicious, room was charming and clean, and views were amazing. We had to leave early but Stan made sure we got breakfast to go! We had such a nice time and can’t wait to come back.
My recent stay at the Blue Lantern was my first experience with the hospitality industry since covid that has been positive. Everyone was exceptionally conscientious and accommodating, not to mention genuinely friendly. The rooms were perfectly clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful selection of delicious food- especially the eggs benedict! The location was quiet and private and felt like a little retreat, but close to nice restaurants. It's not super accessible to the water, but there are bikes to borrow and the view is lovely. And there's a adorable neighborhood cat that will hang out with you on the patio!
We recently went to California and didn’t stay at the Blue Lantern Inn simply because we can’t afford there prices anymore, prices skyrocketed, my wife and I used to enjoy staying a couple nights here on special occasions, for us the best rooms were always with a ocean view! Good breakfast, cookies and wine in the evening, as a matter of fact we haven’t stayed here in probably 8 years because it became way too expensive $$$$, however we did enjoy this place years ago
You lost a customer. My wife and I stayed at the Blue Lantern Inn twice per year until 2022. We always stayed in the Ocean King room. It was always just outside our budget, but we would save up to go. Before 2022, one night was between $300 and $400 including tax. But now the prices are $525 to $625. Thank you for the memories Blue Lantern Inn, but you unfortunately lost a customer.
Wow. Comfy and cozy bed and breakfast inn. Private and clean. Friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious breakfast. Great marina and ocean view. Just a stroll around the corner for fine dining and the Lantern District shopping.Rooms: 5/5

We had our company event at The Blue Lantern Inn in Dana Point and we rented out the Library for the day. The location and the views are fantastic and the staff was so friendly and accommodating to our entire team. The hotel is absolutely charming with the light & bright dining room, the cozy fireplace area and patio which had fantastic views of Dana Point Harbor. The Library itself was so spacious and had all of the equipment we needed for our business meeting for the day. The muffins and the cookies were enjoyed by everyone. This is the second event that we've had here and we hope to do another one here in the future! Thank you to everyone at The Blue Lantern Inn! Hope to see you all again soon!
Nice location. Didn't stay but what I saw reminded me of a retirement home even though it is a hotel. Didn't talk to anyone, which is fine when just looking around but also surprised no one said anything to me.
