Terrific location and nice, convenient rooms. Everything is clean and well-appointed and the staff is friendly and helpful. There's plenty of stuff to do nearby, and bike/beach-gear loaners make it even easier to enjoy the area. Loved the view and can't wait to come back in a year after the lobby building condos are renovated.
Stayed for a week, and the elevator closest to us was out. It's all underground parking garages. so we would have to park in one garage, walk back to the main level and over to another entrance, typically not a big deal, but we were traveling with small children and 2 elderly people. This made it a lot harder for them to enjoy their trip. Rooms were nice, enjoyed that they have their own grill. Pools and hot tubs were kept very clean. Spectacular view of the ocean.
The room was small and clean. This was a good place for being centrally located near Capistrano, Dana Point, San Clemente and some beautiful beaches. They have a parking garage below the rooms with easy access. I loved the pool, and especially the adult kids not allowed hot tub that I had to myself. Kids enjoyed the hot tub at the other end of the pool in which they were having a great time splashing around. There are restaurants within walking distance which should be checked out. My room faced the ocean and provided a balcony that I used to view a couple of gorgeous sunsets In all it is a very comfortable place to stay.
Came for the weekend with the family and stayed at the 2 bedroom apartments. All rooms were very clean, and each bathroom was equipped with shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body lotion. The kitchen is fully equipped, too all was great apart from the microwave/oven, which wasn't very responsive or user-friendly. Rooms got both regular white towels and proper pool towels. The room had a balcony and a sizeable grill. The swimming pool is clean and open from 7am till 11pm. No lifeguard, but not very deep. It's 3.5ft to 5ft in depth, which was perfect for us. There is also a hot tub and a jacuzzi. Beach is just across the street. It's a great spot. I recommend going whale watching while you're here. It's a 5 min drive. Thank you to the friendly staff. We will be back
The place was ok! I would stay there again, hate paying a daily resort fee though. Like exploring a location I hadn’t stayed at before. I was able to use the bikes one day. Older resort, rooms were ok, kitchen seemed well stocked didn’t really cook though.
This is one of the best family vacations we’ve ever had! Very efficient staff, clean property, proximity to the beach and free trolley transportation, and especially the manager Dagmar in the gift shop. There is a cool scavenger hunt which she created on premises. It’s a great activity for people of all ages!
I love staying here every time I choose to. The rooms are very spacious and affordable for what you get. Also it's very quiet, no noise carries over from the other rooms that I have ever noticed. Everyone is always friendly and the view from the hotel is amazing as well.
Our bathroom ceiling was leaking for 2 days, a perfect place for molds and fungus to grow. We reported the problem to the staff two days in a row and they can't resolve the issue AND didn't offer to transfer us to another suite. Also, no more housekeeping services for timeshare members. I thought services will improve with Hilton Grand Vacation HGV taking over from Diamond Resorts but it did not.
We were able to secure a 2-bedroom on the 2nd floor for 5 nights Sun-Friday. It was great and very comfortable. The view from our room was spectacular and we never tired of watching the ocean.
The worst hotel I ever stayed in had roaches in the bed. This is the second worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The neighboring room had a party with over 30 people - loud music, shouting, running kids, banging doors, up past midnight. The hotel has a few places to host a party like this - two outdoor swimming pools and two indoor gathering places. These guests chose to have their noisy party in their room. We called the desk to complain over 10 times. When nothing changed, we went over and talked with them multiple times. We talked with our neighbors and they all took similar measures. THE HOTEL STAFF NEVER SHOWED UP TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. The worst part? This happened two nights in a row with the same guests. But I mean, why wouldn't they keep on having their fun if the staff doesn't do anything about it?
