We purchased $336.39 worth of gear from this store. The initial visit was amazing or so we thought. When buying these items we expressed to the sales men that we were concerned about possibly not needing these items depending on a job opening, the salesman that we were working with proceeded to tell us that as long as we kept the original packaging and the items in new condition, the return policy was lenient. When calling today to verify that we could return these items, before driving thirty minuets to get there, we were told we could not.  Very disappointing. Don’t take the sales reps by their word.

This place is still arrogant and uncompromising, even under the new and supposedly better ownership. They will not price match Amazon, even though the difference was only $8. $8 is alot to someone who is underpaid for the Denver market but is not much for an established business in a prime location. Not to mention they are in an industry that has surged these last couple of years. I will not be shopping here again.

I couldn't recommend this place more, the staff was incredibly helpful. Went above and beyond when answering my questions and recommending me the best products for my line of work. As some one who is new to security these guys made me feel already very knowledgeable in some of my gear I'll be using on a day to day basis. Gave me there card to call and ask anymore questions I may have and also let me know if they didn't have it in store they would absolutely order it for me. 10/10 would have gave it 6 stars if possible!

I walked in about 20 minutes before closing and instead of shooing me out they helped me get the gear I needed and ordered the other stuff that needed to get ordered.  Being a family owned business always has it's perks, and once again that attention to detail and customer service rings strong here.  I left behind a family uniform store when I moved and was worried I wouldn't find that again.  Glad they were open since I found that small business feel again; looking forward to patronizing them over the years.

Probably one of the most disappointing experiences I have had in a long time at an establishment that I was going to spend my money at. I am looking for a piece of equipment for work and before I could get an answer the parties inside start to demand to see my vaccination card. The look of confusion on my face most have been obvious or it may have been me looking down at my jacket for the star to see if I had gone back in time. They agian continued to demand my card but they have also refused to answer any questions regarding why I was there. It would have been funny if they also hadn't been so angry in their demands. What made it even more twilight zone is as both people are yelling for my card neither of them offered to show me theirs and neither of them were wearing a mask. So as I stare at them both for a second as I attempt to wrap my head around what's going on the dude who has seems to be the most frustrated offers to sell me a mask. So regardless of vaccination status keep your items and enjoy the dust that gathers on them.

I am the military manager at the Army Navy Surplus store in Englewood . I stock limited Security, Fugitive Recovery and Law Enforcement items at a great price. I posed as a secret shopper at Blue Star and was happily surprised at the service and stock at this store. I ALWAYS send customers to Blue Star for their needs if I can’t serve them, and I am happy to do so ! Knowledgeable and very professional. Keep up the good work !

I came in with only a little bit of research done on buying ceramic plates. The gentleman behind the register walked me through my options and made sure that the plates I bought would fit in the plate carrier I'd already purchased.  I only had time to glance through the other items that they carry. The shop was clean and organized, and I look forward to coming back when I have more time.

I love coming to the store and have been a customer for many years. I tell all my friends and colleagues to shop here as well. But today was not such a pleasant experience. I came in from getting off my extra duty job to get a new pair of boots. I was just looking at them on my own when a girl I never seen before tes me rudely that I can't be in rhe store without a mask. I told her I didn't have one and she said I had to leave the store.  I asked if I could by the boots and again rudely e I had to go get a mask. I again said I did not have one.  She then offered to sell me one for $2 which I said I would buy it.  Another shopper seeing the treatment I got said "I got you. I have an extr in my car."  After he gave me my mask I took the boots I was looking at and paid then promptly left.  I usually like to see if there was anything else I wanted but not today.  I was very disappointed with the customer service which is normally excellent.

I have been in the store and purchased a wide variety of items. Unfortunately there is not a lot of cop shops in the area. This one in particular has an owner/employee that is very pushy and opinionated, not only in sales but in his opinion of people and local agencies. Recently a co-worker provided a review based on his disatisfaction of his business with Blue Star. The owner then replied with a threat to go to his agencies IA since has been edited. We will see if I am added to the IA complaint list? Blue Star will never again get my business, not only for my personal experiences, but the way they treat other customers as well. Blue Star, if you are worried about losing business, reporting customers to IA is not a proper solution. I have experienced employees who are helpful and professional at this store. However, pointed opinions and pushy sales have no place in sales. I hope for the best for your store!

Tried to return a belt because it ended up being too small. I got mean mugged and treated rudely. I wasn't familiar with store policies but I know my questions were otherwise generally polite. I don't work there, I don't know store policies. I was told an account was created for me and I could only get store credit. When I made a purchase I sure didn't authorize the store to keep my information or create any account. That's wrong; so is a no refund or returns policy. Its 2019, if you treat a customer rudely or have antiquated store policies, then most likely a bad review will be earned. Be nicer, accomadate an easy return. Individuals not big agencies is how your business will fail or succeed. Teach new employees tact and body language.
