Common situations when blood products may be used are with critically ill patients with cancer, anemia, clotting problems, internal parasites, heat stroke, or traumatic blood loss (auto accidents/bite wounds).

The Rogan Rexford Animal Blodo Bank allows veterinarians to treat their patients quickly and safely with blood collected from volunteer Blood Donor Heroes.

Each donation can help up to 4 dogs in need!

Lastly, all blood donations given through the Rogan Rexford Blood Bank help a furry friend AND benefit charity. For every blood donation, a monetary gift is made to 501(c)3 nonprofit, Animal Care & Assistance Fund (ACAF). ACAF assists qualifying, family-owned pets who need emergency or specialty care at PVSEC. They believe that all pets deserve the highest standard of veterinary care, including those whose owners cannot afford treatment.
