I went in with my 1.5 year old lab because she got a bone stuck around her jaw that no one could get off of her. We went in and they were very attentive and quick to get the bone off. My pup was well taken care of.
I highly recommend this facility for emergency pet situations. I’ve needed to bring my dogs to this facility a few times over the past 10 years due to after hours emergency care or when referred by my vet for critical care. They are always very helpful, caring and compassionate. My dog is always treated with care, kindness and respect.
Took my dog in once for a cough they said it was his heart murmur, oddly his cough went away about a week later $$ emergency visit for not helping. Next time I had an emergency my dog was having a reaction seizure to heat exhaustion but I was turned away because she needed three seizures in 24 hrs. Wow nice, I'd do better to watch YouTube videos on caring for my pets instead of taking them here
Last night, my German Shepherd was attacked by my other shepherd. Given we saw some open gashes, I utilized Blue Pearl to make sure the wounds were attended to. I was pretty shaken up as this event hasn't happened before. They were very calm and collective, patient, and caring towards my Shepherd. The vet that came in the room was very caring, compassionate, and sweet towards my shaken up and in pain pup. He gave me all the options and recommendations. The techs were also very clear communicative and quick. Comfort, stabilization, compassion, and urgency was aligned with my visit with them. As my shepherd has previous medical conditions, they also were alert as well to make sure any treatment given would not cause a risk of adverse effects. Given my shepherd is very anxious and does not like clinics or hospitals, she seemed very docile towards the staff as well. Shows the compassion was high! Recommend them for emergency needs! Thank you Dr. Cermak and staff!
One of our family cats had not been eating for the last four days and was just not herself anymore, and we brought her here for a quality of life check. She was in liver failure and our family decided that the best option to be to end her suffering. The doctor was amazing, and he was compassionate and precise. As well as a good majority of the techs who were very patient with us and understanding as we said goodbye to our cat. Once our cat had passed and we said our goodbyes, we rang the bell saying we were ready for our her to be brought back. The tech/assistant however that brought her back was very insensitive and rushing in regards to us saying one more goodbye to our cat. Especially with our mom who was very emotional about it. I asked the lady if we would be getting a clay paw print as this was usually what I saw done with any of our past pets that have passed on and she said in a rude tone: “You only get ONE paw print.” There were a few of us in the room. And I said, “Yeah, I know. I’m just making sure that we get that.” And she said that we will be getting it along with her ashes. At this point, I’m kind of doubting we’ll be getting that paw print. This tech/assistant didn’t pick her up or hold her with dignity or compassion either. She had our cat’s head dangling and just basically treating her like a rag doll. I was going to yell at her but I didn’t want to cause a greater scene in front of my family. So to the tech/assistant that brought our cat to the back: Shame on you. How dare you treat our cat like she was just an inanimate object? Even if she was passed on, she was our family and you treated her and us like garbage. I hope you get fired and never end up working in the veterinary field anymore. This is not your line of work. Regardless, I understand that this person doesn’t represent BluePearl as a whole. Everyone else was fantastic and I would still recommend for any emergency veterinary service. Just please get that tech/assistant out of there so she doesn’t cause anymore negative feelings for another grieving family.
They wouldn't do anything for my cat except put off a simple surgery for his stones. 4k and he was still not cured. Took him elsewhere and 500$ later he's good to go. Absolutely money hungry and disgusting how they made my kitty suffer longer than he needed.
I took my Aussie here in july of 2020 after she made an executive decision to eat an entire flip flop, I found only a few small pieces of it in the floor and my dog vomiting chunks of flip flop and likely regretting her poor decision making skills. unfortunately my vet couldn't get her in, so I loaded her up and brought her down to blue pearl just to make sure she wasn't at risk for an obstruction. The staff were wonderful, I did have to wait about an hour and a half, which is completely understandable, while the issue was potentially serious, we had an issue that wasn't as urgent so our estimated wait of 30 minutes was bumped up due to other folks showing up with more urgent needs and since our dog wasn't showing any serious signs of distress, I totally get it. When they did finally get her in they had her for a while, took some x-rays, went over the findings and sent her home after giving her medication for possible nausea since they did not see any signs that the pieces of the shoe would cause any issues. Shoes are now kept locked away in the closet, and I'm thankful for the peace of mind the visit gave us. The staff were friendly and nice, and I feel like the care I received for the price was reasonable given the circumstances, I knew going in that it was going to be expensive since its an emergency vet, Thank you for taking good care of Alice and making sure she was okay!
I'll tell ya what!! Our cat was sick but for these vet clinics to see a cat is what 300.00 to 500.00? Sorry not sorry it's immoral to charge people that kind of money, Sammy died this morning because of their fees!!! Your cost well you cost my daughters cat his life!! Everyone of these companies are taking over small vet businesses at the cost of animals lives.
We brought our cat, Oscar, in for a urinary obstruction. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We were in and out in a couple hours. Everything was explained to us in great detail and and staff were honest/up front about pricing/options. We felt confident in making decisions with the information that was provided. Will be bringing him back in the future if we ever need to!
They are awesome! Helped save my 8 lbs chihuahua mix from a double pit bull attack. Somehow she survived being attacked by 2 pits they were awesome with her and called me every couple hours throughout the night with updates. Talked to me about each test result. Took the time to explain everything. Definitely would go back.
