We always have a good experience with blue pearl. This is our second time using them, since our vet is closed on weekends and evenings. Our pup was taken back after about 20 mins which is normal, we got a call after about another 20 minutes and he was ready to pick up 30 mins later. Pretty much the same timeframe as visiting our regular vet. They even drew this cute smiley face on BoBos name. Just goes to show that they're actual people that care about our pets and vet experience
I went their today 9-22-2018 for my Chawennie LUCY because I by accidentally cut my dogs nail to short and it was my first time trying to cut them it was only one nail and it would not stop bleeding for between 4-5 hours and them finally I had to go and get someone to help and they were the ones to do that. and since I've been over their my dogs paw has not been bleeding it was not that long of a wait and I thank them so much for helping my baby. THANK YOU TO THE GIRLS WHO HELP ME WITH LUCY!!!!!! The picture is of my sweet LUCY
Several of the negative reviews are related to this facility being expensive for after hours care. We took our cat in after he was hit by a car in the evening. Most of the other vets are not even open in the evening so we were very grateful for them being open all night. They were 100% transparent about the costs upfront and made sure we were ok with them. As a result while it was as some would say "expensive" our cat is alive and recovering which he most likely wouldn't be had it not been for this facility. As far as the staff, their professionalism, and their demeaner I have nothing but positive things to say. The Doctor on call kept in constant contact with us and even called us right around midnight when our cat finally was stabilized for the evening and resting. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the process. They even provided me a refund when our cat was discharged since they didn't end up having to perform one of the tests. They didn't have to do that as there would have been no way for me to truly confirm what all tests had been done to him. If your pet is in an emergency situation I would highly recommend BluePearl
Our 12-year old dog was in distress so we brought her here at about 10:30 PM. They examined her right away. Unfortunately, her congestive heart failure had finally caught up with her and her lungs were filling with fluid. So we made the painful decision to end her suffering. The vet and the staff were extremely kind, understanding, and comforting.
Let me preface this review by saying I am an actual customer that almost let the low reviews deter me from taking my sick kitty here. That would’ve added at least another 30 minutes to my already 20 minute drive to the nearest emergency animal clinic. Being that it was 1 a.m. and I was exhausted, I decided to stop here. I was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted by professional, gentle, and caring individuals that had my kitty’s best interest at heart. There was no wait when we arrived and they took my cat straight back while I did admit paperwork. During that time, I was informed by the receptionist that an unresponsive puppy was possibly coming in which would take priority over my medically stable cat. Like any ER, they triage patients and take the most serious ones first. The receptionist, vet tech, and vet were all friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. The vet gave multiple treatment options to provide the most cost effective care. I wouldn’t hesitate to take a sick animal there again. At any emergency facility, how long one waits will be dependent upon the severity of the other patients that are brought in. I’m glad I chose to stop at BluePearl and my kitty is doing much better today because of them! Thank you BluePearl!
We had to take our cat in one Tuesday evening after he was attacked by a dog. Due to the COVID situation, we had to text in our arrival, but received a reply very quickly that we were able to bring our cat in. I was then called to answer some questions. A few minutes after that we received a call from the vet letting us know the extent of our cats injuries. The staff at Blue Pearl gave us the time we needed to decide what the best step was for Panther. Unfortunately, we had to put him down. Blue Pearl was very professional and kept us updated on the cremation process. We received Panther’s remains a week later and also a card from Blue Pearl. Great service at this location. We had only been to the main one located in Stone Oak, but I would definitely recommend either location.
I had an amazing experience with this location. My dog had cut his arm deeply and even with pressure the bleeding wasn't stopping, it was jetting out when I removed pressure. Terrified I came to the location for an emergency late nigtt visit. The staff was very nice and seemed to really care for my dog. I came through the door still in work clothes with my white pitbull covered in blood he was happy as a clam meeting new people not aware of the danger he was in and the staff helped me feel calm. They vet said he had severed an artery and the did surgery right way. Thank you everyone for my dogs life.
We had excellent service with Blue Pearl. We had to have a tail amputation on Easter weekend of our beloved 11 year old golden retriever. Dr. Curry and his staff were excellent. They got us through this ordeal and so far our golden is recovering nicely. The follow up calls this week to make sure our dog was recovering were excellent. The prices were normal and in line with the surgery. They handled the social distancing with great importance and made it easy for all of us. I highly recommend Blue Pearl New Braunfels. Thank you so much for getting us through this ordeal.
Took in our cat overnight and was hesitant at first. When we got there we signed paperwork and then had been sent back immediately to be seen by the techs. The techs were very friendly and were delicate with our cat. While waiting you can hear the techs in the back room, however, it didn’t bother us we were just concerned about our cat. It did take us awhile to see the doctor due to another animal being in very critical condition stepped out to see what was going on. All is very understanding, when the doctor came in he apologized for the wait. He saw our cat and instantly told us what she needed and luckily it was within a reasonable price range. The reason for 5 stars- we received great service and care, humble techs/doctor, and reasonable price.
Our dog ate a peach pit and I know time is crucial so I took him to this Emergency Pet clinic. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in but the clinic is clean and looked pretty new . The receptionist was friendly and sensitive, explaining what was happening when they immediately took my dog to the back. I truly feel that if I would've taken him to a regular vet that we would've been there a lot longer and been charged a whole lot more. His care was straight and to the point. The Veterinarian was kind and when I got my dog back an hour later peach pit free! I left feeling a whole lot better for choosing this Emergency Clinic.
