Body-Mind Aquatics teaches swimming to the whole family, ages 6 months through adults, with a gentle, fun, swimmer-paced, effective safety swimming method.
Body-Mind Aquatics offers swim lessons with both private, groups and design-your-own-group lessons for all ages, infants to adults. Owner, head coach Carolyn Nash has developed a revolutionary, break-through method from her 20 years of experience in the water with swimming and therapy trainings. The entire swim school is designed to best serve many people in as healthy of a way as possible. The pool has warm water, with a low-chemical, non-chlorine (hydrogen peroxide) system. Our small group sessions are the smallest in the industry, 3 - 4 kids. Also, our groups are created so that all of the swimmers fit well together. This means that both private and small groups are taught with personalized classes geared to exactly what the swimmer needs to advance easily and with great skill. We teach in a child/person centered, child/person paced, whole system approach that allows for swimming lessons to become more than just swimming skills. We gently teach the progressive swim-float-swim skill and other valuable safety skills, while teaching the core skills for fast stroke swimming (ie Freestyle, Backstroke...). Classes tend to also develop excellent body/mind skills, confidence, trust, responsibility, cooperation and even educational, imaginative and sometimes musical lessons (for infants and children of course). We also happen to specialize in helping kids/people who have fear or trauma in the water.
