Bonham Fire Department is a combination department comprised of 36 career firefighters, 1 fire chief, 1 EMS coordinator, 1 administrative assistant and 7 volunteer firefighters. Of the 36 career firefighters, 14 are certified EMT-Basics and 22 are certified EMT-Paramedics. The fire chief and EMS coordinator are also certified EMT-Paramedics. There are 3 shifts with 12 career firefighters on each shift that are on a 24 hour on 48 hour off rotation. BFD operates out of 2 strategically located fire stations within the City of Bonham. The department provides fire/rescue services to the city and contracted portions of Fannin County with 2 fire engines, 1 command vehicle, 1 brush truck and 1 rescue truck. We also provide emergency medical services to the city and entire county as well with 4 ALS MICU ambulances.
