I stopped by this brewery during the Ale Trail and fell in love! I've been to IX Park...

It's a nice pool but the requirement to use the slide is ridiculous you have to pass a swim test being able to backstroke and freestyle. I get having to know how to swim but professionally it's ridiculous. Over all the kids had fun and you can bring a cooler as long as there's no alcohol. The price isn't bad they blow the whistle at a quarter till so parents can have fifteen minutes kid free in the water. The staff is friendly.
Great playground in the shade stone if the day for little kids. Great playground in the shade some of the time for older kids. Fun nature walk. And a pool I'll have to go back for that one some other time. Plenty of parking. Playground: Fun for larger and smaller kids.
Swim pool. Covered meeting places. Multiple playgrounds. Lots of tree shade. Great location. Awesome sleigh riding hill. Who could ask for more? Playground: Multiple playgrounds on the premises. Restrooms: Clean when I was there. Dog-friendliness: No dog park. But lots of open spaces to run. Picnic area: Shaded. Very well planned out. With grills.
Very nice swimming pool. They test swimming test for slide. I think it is necessary for child safety. I was impressed by this.
Very nice area in town with nice equipment for kids to play. Only down side is the shady people that hang out at the top playground near the restrooms. Was here 2 different times in 2 weeks and seen this kinda activity. It's right beside the playground.
First time visiting the pool, pleasantly surprised how organized, clean and safe it was. I appreciated the fact that swim tests were done for kids to grant them access to the deep end and using the waterslide. Will gladly come again!
We love this park, for sure one of our favorites! The playground is huge and easily entertained my daughter for hours
Nice park in the center of the city; walkable to all kinds of businesses and housing. Lots of different amenities; 2-5 playground, 5+ playground, public pool, sport fields, basketball courts, native garden, boardwalk and a new nature trail going in this week that will connect from the pool playground to the bog garden. The hill between the upper and lower park is significant, so if you are into getting some exercise you can run up it if that's what you are into.
This and the other two public pools in Charlottesville are great fun in the summer. Booker sometimes has swim team events that can impact the amount of swimming space later in the day but otherwise use these facilities! A family pass for the summer or year is incredibly cheap in comparison to the YMCA or Fry's Spring Beach Club, and there's far more variety at Booker!
Only visited the playground but it was great. Nice slides. Interesting wobbly playthings. My nieces loved it 5 and 7
