Boone Funeral Homes has been in existence in Evansville, Indiana since the late 1800's.

Founded as Klee Funeral Home at 1st Street & Ingle, Boone Funeral Homes then became Klee & Burkhardt Funeral Home at 4th Street & Chandler
Avenue.

In 1947, George W. and Charles W. Boone acquired the establishment and Boone Funeral Homes was formally born.

In 1985, John & Martha Maier bought-in with the Boone family and expanded the business into its present location in 1989 from Downtown Evansville to the rapidly expanding East Side of Evansville. Currently, Boone Funeral Home on Washington Avenue satisfies the needs of families from Evansville, Newburgh and the surrounding area.

Boone Funeral Home has taken care of both of my parents burials. Fortunately my parents planned ahead and took care of picking out and planning most everything. They are wonderful to work with. Johnny, Jordan, Ellen and the entire Boone team were great to work with. Even though our mom’s funeral was pre-planned there were still details that needed to be figured out, and they worked with us every step of the way. They were also instrumental in helping us resolve some issues at the cemetery. They were extremely diligent and compassionate to make sure everything happen the way it should. On top of the grief that comes with the loss of loved one my dad, handling the final arrangements can be a tremendous weight! And without the support and care of Boone Funeral Home Jordan, John, Ellen and entire stuff, I don’t know what I would do. From the initial contact, during the process, to the last minutes at grave site and even follow up after the funeral, they went above and beyond for our family, showing so much love and support! They truly go an extra mile to lessen the burden of the loss! I’m so grateful for the care and comfort they provided during this difficult time! My family has used Boone Funeral Home for years. Unfortunately both my Dad and Mom passed away in the last couple years. Boone was so caring, and went above and beyond to help us through the funeral. They have stayed in contact since to make sure we are doing ok. I would highly recommend using them.

In the lose of my sister Rhonda Higginbotham that had already had her arrangements made threw Boone Funeral Home . I can honestly and truly say that her arrangements was done to the fullest . I appreciate all the calls along with the texting helping our family threw this difficult time . Thank you Boone Funeral Home once again for all you done during this time .

Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy but Elizabeth and Jordan made it doable. They handled everything with such a kind, warm heart, and actually even lifted my spirits. Thank you so much for the time you spent with me and the grace you showed me.
Many years ago my father pre-planned his final arrangements with Boone. When the time came to call them after he passed I'm not sure if I should be more grateful to my father fir his foresight or to Boone for their care. When we met with Jordan to confirm the details it was a smooth process that covered everything in a compassionate efficient manner. As a result the visitation, service, and committal were exactly what we wanted. We quickly realized Boone had attended to details we had never even thought about.
