Browning has been the only funeral home that my family has used. Their staff and services are excellent. They were so helpful and caring when my mother passed away. They provide a lot of support and truly care about the families during the most difficult times in their lives. I can't thank the staff enough for all they did. Too many names to mention. It truly is a family as well as family ran business. Mr Browning was a good man. Jeannie and the Browning staff continue to uphold his integrity after his passing
Incredible staff that was so kind and helpful after the loss of my mother. Specifically Alex, Matthew, and Jeannie were all so wonderful during an incredibly difficult time. They genuinely cared and wanted to help us grieve the way we wanted. We spoke to a few funeral homes and none of them seemed genuine and just wanted their money. The staff at Browning was some much needed comfort during an incredible loss for our family. We will forever be grateful for them
Jeannie Browning Hester is a wonderful woman and an incredible human being. Losing my Mother was difficult, but what comes after in terms of services and facilitating a comfortable venue for loved ones and friends to say goodbye, can be a complex and emotive process. Jeannie and all the Staff at Browning were impeccable. It was almost like coming home to family. The caring but unobtrusive nature of their professional services provided great comfort in knowing that everything was taken care of. I'm so grateful that my Mother had the insight to plan her transition with Jeannie and the folks at Browning. Having the time to fellowship and grieve instead of making challenging decisions was a blessing. I sincerely recommend working with Jeannie to put a plan in place for your loved one.
The Staff at Browning is amazing. They handled my nephew, Sgt. Drew Watters funeral, and I have never been so impressed with a business as I have Browning Funeral Home. Each employee from Jeanne Browning Hester on down made a sad and tragic event, one filled with warmth, love and attention to detail. The staff went above and beyond to make Drew’s funeral so memorable and was given a tribute he so deserved. They treated us like family and we can never thank them enough. There are not enough stars on this page to rate them high enough.
I cannot thank Browning Funeral Home enough for everything they did for our family following my mother's death during this Pandemic. All precautions were followed at the funeral home and at the cemetery. They were very attentive to our needs and requests. We have had many family members use their services over the years and as always, I highly recommend them.
Jeannie and her staff are top-notch. This is not a job but a ministry for them. Their kindness, compassion, attention to detail, and genuineness during a most difficult time were greatly appreciated.
We accept the fact that we couldn't be present for Grandma Kemper's funeral because of the very reason for her being gone Covid 19. While we appreciate that we were able to see her at all, the live streaming experience was very disappointing. There should have been a person behind the camera while filming so that close-ups and zoom-outs could be done according to what was going on. Pastor's heads were cut off and several black-outs of the feed happened; it wasn't just our family that had trouble, several family members across different states reported the same difficulty with the streaming. We felt that a showing of the various pictures of her life should have also been made available, just like it would have been if we attended in person.
The staff here is absolutely incredible. Every time we entered or left the building, there was someone holding a door open for us. When we came in early to set up for my grandfather's memorial service, they made sure to periodically check on us to see if we needed anything or if they could be of service. From when we set up to the time we left, they were always easy to locate to answer any questions we came up with, and their answers were always very thorough and kind. They are clearly all very compassionate people, and they were absolutely willing to go above and beyond for us. Never have I felt so cared about by complete strangers. They also seem to have thought of anything a family could possibly need during this time; they had extra picture frames, easels to prop up either photos or small momentos, as many magnetic boards and magnets for pictures or whatever else one may wish to display as anyone could ever need, they made a lovely slideshow for us that was displayed throughout the entirety of the visitation period they also put all of these images into a Shutterfly-style photobook for us for a more concrete momento, beautiful built-ins to create a more homey display, plenty of tables and other surfaces for smaller displays, there are Kleenex boxes and trash cans all over the place, a separate kitchen area for food and beverages that are brought in, and even a kids room upstairs. What also really wowed me was the package they gave us after the service: They gave us a reuseable bag with a DVD copy of the slideshow; thank-you cards we can send to the guests; the check-in book everyone signed as they entered; a copy of the newspaper that printed my grandfather's obituary; the leftover programs; a folder with photos of all the floral arrangements that were sent, along with separate close-up photos of the cards that came with them; a list of all the food that was brought in and who provided it; an incredible folder with information on grief support groups, a phone number to call if you need help understanding how to handle things like notifying social security, veterans benefits, etc., and a checklist to help families remember everything they have to take care of when a loved one passes; and my favorite thing, which I had no idea we'd receive: a DVD copy of the service, which they recorded for us. The home itself is also in impeccable condition. It has clearly been recently remodeled. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, and every room down to the stalls in the bathroom are large enough to be handicap accessible. The only complaint my family had was that after the service, we were given a paper with a message written on it from a family member who had reached out. At first, I loved that they did this, but upon further inspection, it appeared that this message was left 4 days before the service was held. We really wished that they would have called us when they got the message, or at the very least, given it to is when we first arrived. Other than that small factor, this was the absolute most perfect memorial service I could have ever imagined for my grandfather thanks to Browning. From the bottom of our hearts, my family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the employees and owners of Browning Funeral Home. Without your kindness and preparedness, my grandfather's memorial service would not have been the beautiful event that it was. Thank you.
I would just like to thank everybody at Browning Funeral Home for everything. The staff is very gracious & caring. I appreciate everything you have done for our family this past month.
