I started coming to Boot Camp Pasadena about 3 years ago. I was not in ideal shape and was a little intimidated of what it would be like. Coop Coach Stephen Cooper was great about making me feel welcomed and the crowd there was a big range of people at different levels of fitness, but everyone fit in. Over time, I wasn't as great at making the early morning workouts and would come at night, eventually hiring Coach to do personal training in my front yard throughout COVID. I can honestly say this - you won't find a more dedicated coach than Coop. He'll check in on you and really cares about your success and progress. Lastly, he does a really good job of teaching you how to be healthy in a way that let's you live your life, which I think we're all looking for. I couldn't recommend Coach Coop and Boot Camp enough!
One day my BFF called me and said, "I want to do boot camp. Do it with me!" So I said yes, since I hadn't worked out in the four years after I had my son. I've now been a client for about three years! I'm glad I decided to join her, because Stephen is a calm, personable, and fun guy to wok out with - nothing like the screaming, belittling coaches you can see on TV. The workouts can be challenging but you can go at your own pace and build up your strength gradually. I also like that no two workouts are exactly the same, which is something I never had at the gym. All the people in the class, men and women alike, are very friendly, accepting and encourage you to do your best. It's really a great workout in a supportive atmosphere. Come on your own and join the group, but even better, get a friend to join you and you'll both have a great time getting fit.
Went to boot camp three days a week for almost three years! Stephen is a caring, fun and knowledgeable trainer. The workouts are always different and always challenging, but the atmosphere is never competitive or punishing.
Awesome workouts and very caring instructor. He suggests that you to email him what you eat everyday and this helps with accountability and he provides feedback/suggestions. I lost 17 pounds and got stronger in a few months. It was great.
