Wait times to be seated and to receive food were pretty extensive, but we weren't in a hurry. Food was delicious! I order the Pot Stickers, Ancho Apple Pork Chop and a couple of Peach Margaritas. We never got our side salads with our meals, so they were comped and they still gave them to us to go! This particular pork chop is really thick, so it took roughly a half hour or so to cook. I felt it was worth the wait. The atmosphere and view were great as well. Will go back!
We stopped for a Sunday lunch. We opened the place and were seated immediately. Amy J. Was our server and did a fantastic job. She was very knowledgeable about all menu items and took excellent care of us. We had the walley dinner and it was perfect and one of the best walleye dishes I have had. The visit to Bootlegger's completed a perfect day for us. Parking: Parking was limited but the food is worth parking and walking for.
Went here this evening while driving through. I thought the place seemed like it would be good... we were very wrong. The first impressions were that everything on the menu was overpriced. The only thing we got to try though was the spinach & artichoke dip $14, twice as much as it was worth because we were kicked out after our kids were sitting at a table on the patio watching the water. Yes. A restaurant with outdoor seating told us the kids could not be out sitting at a table. First, a waitress came and rudely told us kids could not be out of their seats at the restaurant. After we digested the ridiculousness of that, we asked for our bill. Instead of getting our bill, she got who I imagine was the owner to come talk to us. After he reiterated that kids can't be out of their "assigned" seats, tempers flared, and he ended up snatching all drinks off our table and refused to even give us the bill. We were more than glad to get out of there and out of that overpriced bill as well. Avoid this place! There are much better options along the strip.
*HIGHLY RECOMMEND** Oh my goodness. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. We went at peak time. Which lead to an hour wait but Holy moly was it worth it!!! I got the crab cakes which melted in my mouth. They were made from scratch. My hubs was craving chicken and got the chicken teriyaki and that was super good! The grilled zucchini is a must! They have a fun drink menu and a wonderful restaurant atmosphere. We sat at the bar until we were ready for our food and it was fun. The bar staff are fun and the whole staff is friendly. We even met the owner who is so laid back and cares about each plate that goes out the window! What a little gem hidden by the boat docks. MUST GO!
They were out of menu items so we first had to compromise on our order when we got there. We weren’t too inconvenienced by this until they were out of the second item we chose. Nearly an hour later when 2 salads, the only thing we’d ordered, still hadn’t made its way out to us. We asked to pay for our drinks and leave and was met with a very rude member of the staff. Although some of the others were understanding and helpful, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had.. and was our first stop ever here in town. Not the first impression I’d hoped for..
the food was decent but high priced. I ordered a steak and it was over cooked and didn’t seem like the quality i was paying for, but the flavor was good. the view of the harbor is nice, but there is only outdoor seating. We didn’t know this and had to wait out a torrential downpour to be seated. the staff was friendly.Food: 3/5
Great dining experience! I took my wife and 3 kids out to eat after visiting a local attraction in Port Clinton. I drove by this place 2 times before finally deciding to give it a try. What a great choice it turned out to be! We were seated within minutes of arriving right on the waterfront. Our server was prompt to get our drinks, she showed patience and understanding when taking the kids orders, and made all the right recommendations for dishes to try. The clam chowder was perfect for a starter. For a main dish I tried the server recommended Homemade Seafood Lasagna and it was amazing! I was in such a good mood after eating and enjoying the relaxing scenery that I even ordered desert. Key lime pie! Delicious! My family was happy as we left and all agreed that we would love to go back next we return to the area.
1st time here from Mansfield, won't go back. Perch sandwich meal w fries less fries then a mcdonalds small fry sandwich came bare w side of tarter sauce, had to ask for a tomato at extra cost. Didn't have napkins/forks/ketchup. Pop sucks u can see through it. VIEW is great!! 2 avg meals @ 50.00. Then she checks us out and had extra meal on our bill. NO THANKS!!
Absolutely horrible. Walked in, told to wait. We do. Then some lady comes out yelling at us to sit down, “I suggest you sit down. And you should not let the baby walk around either” - she’s one and a half. Needless to say we left since they can’t handle more than 2 tables at a time.Atmosphere: 1/5
