PLEASE fix the freaking escalator already. This poor woman with a stroller was struggling to get down the stairs and a bunch of us missed the train as there's only one tiny stairway. It's unsafe and annoying. That said, glad this station is still open.
Bowdoin is clean and well lit, but it's a bit strange. Not very many people use it, especially on weekends, so it's often empty. It's safe, but the atmosphere is a bit weird.
Quirky station- the platforms are quite short and triangle. It’s not accessible but there is a single up escalator. Gotta be extended to the red line!
One of the last stations in operation that originally provided service to trolley cars in Boston. As a result, patrons are required to manually open train doors with an exterior button. Old but well maintained and clean compared to other station locations. Be advised, this station is NOT ADA accessible. If you require elevator access, the nearby Government Center station will be your point of entry for the MBTA train system.
Older station, but it's clean. It's fun to press the button to open the doors. If I get to government center and the train to Wonderland looks too full, I will hop on the train to Bowdoin and then catch the train from there...ensures a seat every time.
Love the B&W pictures of old Boston on the station walls. Like most underground subway stations in the city, this one is reasonably clean and well-maintained, especially when I think about the dreary stations we have in NYC.
Bowdoin Station is interesting, has very low ridership, and it is very close to Government Center, this station is not ADA accessible, and the platform length on the the Wonderland Side can’t fit all cars to the platform do to the short length.
The terminal station of Blue line in downtown Boston. Inbound train just transforms into outbound one by running circle railway in 5 min.
There's a dunkin's, streets are quiet due to covid, but it's still nice, I work nearby so I'll come back
Homeless man in a tent in park outside the station exit yelling about Asians which was scary.
