A bit hidden off the highway, but if you're paying attention and find it, it's worth it. They're open six days a week - very unusual for a barbeque restaurant. The ribs are done right. Just twist the bone a little and it pulls right out. Brisket is tender and flavorful, and the smoked turkey is a great choice too. I didn't sample the chicken, but it's likely just as good as the rest. The garlic mashed potatoes have a slight smokey flavor. Good cole slaw. Very friendly staff and a lot of antique tools and other items throughout in a rough wood rustic building - just the right atmosphere. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp

Great place to stop and eat. We drive 40 miles round trip just to come eat here . It's not fancy it's old time setting and old time log cabin. In the winter months the fire place is very nice. The staff is nice and the food is good . Even though this is a BBQ place they do serve outstanding fried catfish . I order it almost every time I go. All the meals are good and you get all you can eat hushpuppies with any order and they are tasty. So if your wanting a easy laid-back meal and good food give it a try we like it. O the unsweetened tea is also very good.

Unplanned dinner stop here. Quite a nice surprise. Melt in your mouth brisket with great mac and cheese and BBQ beans. The best hush puppies. Nice folks, clean, and reasonably priced.

I was looking forward to trying Bowie Barbeque after reading many of the reviews, and maybe I caught them on a bad night. Probably did not help that it was 30 minutes before closing. Bought the 1/2 rib plate with cole slaw and bbq beans. Tried to order the mashed potatoes, but they were already sold out. Sides were decent, but the ribs were some of the worst I have eaten in a long time. They were either overcooked or had been left in the warming tray too long. Stringy and dry would be the best description. Will try this place again at lunch to see if the product quality is better/fresher.

Friendly service, great food. We had barbecue sandwhiches, waffle fries, mac n cheese, baked beans, shepherds pie, fried okra and apple fritters. All delish, and the price was great too!

This was my first time eating here. I've live in Brookhaven for 7 years and never went that way. I got 2 rib plates, to the point everything was so good. Will be eating there again.
