Pickle /basketball courts. Huge playgrounds for the kids. Picnic shelter can be reserved. Permits have priority. Walking path. Shaded areas with benches. Great places to lay down a blanket and enjoy.
This park has one of the largest playgrounds in Yorba Linda. It was also just resurfaced a few months ago so very well kept. You can rent out the gazebo area for parties, it has bathrooms, pickle ball and basket ball courts, a giant open grass play area, an a pirate ship. This park also has some deep history with the Yorba Linda community. It was originally built by a neighborhood fundraising effort but burn to the ground when the last major faire swept through. The city helped completely rebuild the playground and now it's even better . This is a great place to take the kids and one of my kids favorite parks in Yorba Linda. Highly recommend!
We got to Box Canyon Park at about 10A.M. in the morning. The park was full of kids playing on the 2 playgrounds, practicing basketball on the basketball count. A party was being set up under the Gazebo. On the other picnic benches their was a small birthday party going on. The women bathroom needed some cleaning. Also their is no parking lot. We parked down the hill. We stayed for 2 hours. Before we left we walked on around the cement walkway around the park. The park is in the middle of hills. It was nice view to see the home around Yorba Linda from down below. We will be back. It was a nice park.
Box Canyon Park in Yorba Linda is a stellar playground! It's clean, well-maintained, and offers a variety of fun equipment for kids. A fantastic place for family outings. Highly recommend!
This is a hidden gem in Yorba Linda. Beautiful and perfect for families. There is a nice kids playground, basketball area, grassed field perfect for soccer practice. Clean restrooms. Also if you enjoy seeing different kind of cactus this is the place to go. Great job on the landscape. I love how most cactus are labeled so you can learn the names. Also please be aware of the wild life.
Great park for kids if they want to have fun. There are some HUGE rattlesnakes there. Went onto Lost Trough Canyon Trail and saw a very big rattlesnake. Playground: There are very big playgrounds for kids. Restrooms: There are restrooms in the park off to the side of the playgrounds. Dog-friendliness: You can brings dog. I recommend bringing a ball or frisbee because there is a large field of grass. Picnic area: There is a large picnic table area, you can setup a picnic area if you want to sit on the grass
This is a hidden jewel of Yorba Linda. I'm mesmerized by the way it's backed up next to the hills, during spring the hills are covered with lush green foliage and it is a breath taking view of Orange County. Great for kids and parents with huge field and tennis and basketball courts as well as picnic areas. There are signs that educate people who visit about the ecosystem and the plants and animals you might encounter. Highly recommend.
Nice playground nice park we couldn't barbecue so we didn't stay. But very nice neighborhood park.
Great park to bring your kids and pets. Awesome playground and grass area for sports. FYI, snakes sightings in the summer due to being next to the hills.
Cute little park. Has a great playground, picnic benches, open grassy area to play games or let dogs play. A basket ball court that even converts to a pickle ball court. Has clean bathrooms, and a dog fountain, provides doggy bags. I walk around it about 3-5x's a week with my dog. Also, great for birding/birdwatching. Plus it names some of the plants in this nice little park. YES there can be snakes, this is not fully fenced, and is frequented by coyotes, it's literally in the hills of Y.L. You are next to the wilderness. But, overall a really great little gem of a park. Playground: Perfect, can have a lot of kids. Restrooms: Always clean. No paper towels, has hand dryers. Dog-friendliness: I don't mind if your dog is off leash, just better be able to be come back when called. Picnic area: Has a large picnic area that can be reserved. Plus a few more picnic benches, or more grassy areas with shade to set up a table with chairs.
