Canyon RV Park

About

A natural wilderness RV park on the Santa Ana River. Located in Ahaheim, California.

Description

Canyon RV Park is the hidden jewel of Orange County. Occupying 63 acres of the 795 acre Featherly Wilderness Preserve, Canyon is situated along the Santa Ana River in the heart of the Santa Ana Canyon.

Our beautiful natural wilderness setting with acres of grass and trees is ideal for the whole family. Enjoy the open area for recreation along with our seasonal pool and playgrounds for the kids. Be sure to bring your bikes. You can cruise through the park or cycle down the Santa Ana River Bicycle Trail just adjacent to us. This bicycle trail runs from the Orange/Riverside county line all the way to the Pacific Ocean in Huntington Beach. 20 minutes close is downtown Anaheim where you can enjoy Disneyland, events at the Anaheim Convention Center, an Angels baseball game or Ducks hockey. You may even choose, like most of our guests, to relax and simply enjoy your time away.

We hope to see you soon – bring the family, start a tradition and create some memories.

This used to be our favorite RV park when visiting the area. Until this week when they knowingly put us in a space with faulty power. They sent a maintenance guy to talk to us; he came up with a totally implausible explanation. After 3 nights, we asked to move and were given a different space. After that, everything with our power was fine. Yet we spent 3 nights with no shore power from midnight to 9am. Very hot weather, and we were unable to run the AC at night. The ladies at the front desk were sympathetic but there was nothing they could do. Should never have happened.
Lovely park like setting. Clean, safe. The spaces are wide, so we parked a 44-foot trailer, the truck that pulled it, and a chase car. The office staff is very nice shout out to Sonia or Sonya. The plus, or minus, is that it is right on the 91 freeway. It's easy in, easy out, but it is a bit noisy. Safety: No scary people hanging around the campgrounds.
I love this place, this is the 4th time I come here. its very private and secure especially when it comes with our children. The only reason why I did not do a 5 starts on rooms is because I think it is time to change the bedroom mattresses . These are very old and I think they need to invest and change them. Other than that I love this place. See you next time...... Rooms: mattresses need to be changed, they are very old.
Perfect campground that met all our needs! We actually stayed in 3 different Rv spots 96, 127 and 26 over the course of 15 nights/16 days - all were great for different reasons & we'd be happy to stay again at any of those sights! Staff was always super nice and friendly! Laundry room dryers are very hot & dried everything in less time than we thought bring quarters for the washer/dryers. Nearby activities: Not too far from Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The park is BEAUTIFUL!! The trees...so many gorgeous beautiful trees!! You would never know this park is in such a populated area. Miles of green grass, 600 trees, yellow canaries, blue birds, red headed woodpeckers, bunny rabbits, squirrels and toads! I loved every minute of our stay! The one and only issue...ANTS!!! Bring spray. They are survivors...we had to spray a few times every day. Other than that...PERFECTION!! Our pups had a BLAST!
Large RV park next to the 91 freeway. Noisy but you tune it out. Large areas for kids to play. Nice cabins available. Porkys pizza delivers. Friendly staff, small food/parts store. No alcohol, but s’mores ingredients available. Great rope course for kids and adults, our seven year old did the whole course. Great to watch.
Experience was great up until our arrival to the park. It seems That there was a problem with our visit that we did not find out about until we were leaving. This problem left us A bit concerned as we were not notified of any issues until our departure. Now we are concerned on whether There was any validity to what was supposedly reported. Also? In the administrative. Notes they stated that half of our groups RVs were rented. My question is what did that have to do with our visit? And not only that, over half of our group RVs were owned not rented so that notation was made in error. I'm not sure if we were being discriminated against but i'm not happy with the outcome of our visit. Noteworthy details: Very clean and comfortable bathrooms
This is a gorgeous campground !! The spaces are huge! We loved it ! It backs up against the freeway... so you have that noise .. but the location is very convenient for travelers. Pay attention to the signs as you come in... and pull to the right for check in. They get very unhappy if you block their gate... and it's evident! Not so pleasant !! Make sure you have 20.00 CASH for the gate card. They do not have an ATM and do not accept credit cards for this. We had to drive to town cuz I was short..which was a huge inconvenience !! The laundry room only had one dryer working...which was a disappointment to say the least. Over all.. the atmosphere makes up for the rest of it. I would stay again !
Beautiful and extremely well maintain RV Park, Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Site was level with full hookups and where you didn't feel your neighbor was right on top of you! Feels like your in a large park with huge grass areas and trees abound. Would stay here in the future. Only negative comment would be due to the location of the RV Park freeway noise was somewhat bothersome, but being in SoCal this is pretty unavoidable. Thus, I'd rate it a 4.9 out of 5.
Hello everyone. I came here for the ropes course and loved the environment. There is plenty of space between rv spaces. Great place for biking and hiking. I recommend the ropes course, it is a fun team building activity. Thank you for reading my review. Please follow me and check out the places I visit.
