Boyertown Area Fire & Rescue (BAFR) is the primary fire protection and rescue service for the greater Boyertown area.
Boyertown Area Fire & Rescue (BAFR) is the primary fire protection and rescue service for the greater Boyertown area. The Department, denoted as Berks County Station 95, is constituted of a partnership between the legacy fire companies Friendship Hook & Ladder (Station 15), Keystone Steam Engine Company (Station 16), and Liberty Fire Company (Station 17).
BAFR provides fire suppression, rescue, special operations, and emergency medical assistance services to its primary service area consisting of Boyertown Borough, Colebrookdale Township, and approximately half of Douglass Township, all in Berks County, PA.
BAFR has a cache of apparatus and equipment, including several Engines, two Tankers, a Ladder, a Heavy Rescue, Brush units, a Technical Rescue Trailer and team, and Water Rescue equipment and a team.
The mission of the Boyertown Area Fire & Rescue is to minimize the impact of danger and damages arising from disasters and emergency incidents that occur in our community, to the citizens and or guests, and their properties through a coordinated administration that promotes training of it members, holds the safety of its members and the community in the highest regard, and will strive to improve upon itself and grow with the needs of the community and become an integral part of it
